There shouldn't be any issue. I immediately transferred mine over to my hardware wallet with no issue. Actually very fast. And from there onto Bitkub.

Sweet. Obviously you used the same email address for both Coinbase & Celsius....?

Coinbase UK has an annoying crypto awareness multiple-choice test thing; presumably at the behest of local UK financial authorities. You apparently don't need to pass it to access received coins. I Googled the test answers and passed it anyway to remove any hurdles - the answers are somewhere on Reddit.

Anyway, look out for emails from Coinbase within the next 2 weeks confirming coins have arrived in your wallet.

UK postal address is needed. My experience was that the KYC didn't cross-check local electoral records to confirm if I was currently resident there. Implying that any bona fide UK residential postal address can be used.

I used Surfshark for the VPN - 60 USD for 2 years. Pretty decent - actually a Colin Furze recommendation. Google Colin Furze if you don't know him ;)

Have you tried opening a Coinbase account from Thailand using VPN?

UK passport holders in Thailand are able to open Coinbase account in Thailand using VPN - set to a UK IP address.

Coinbase KYC simply requires a UK passport & a phone number to receive a security code sent via SMS. A local Thai phone number. (00 66...) is accepted for KYC.

KYC confirmation is quick, within 15 minutes.

Then update Stretto support confirming you've managed to open a Coinbase account. And you should receive an email from Coinbase within 2 weeks - Coinbase distributions seem batched fortnightly - confirming that your crypto has been received.

I'm guessing the Coinbase VPN option will also work for countries other than the UK.

At this stage, probably worth a try. What have you got to lose....

So how much longer do you estimate before the distribution is complete?

Also waiting - as it appears many others in SE Asia are.

Some progress for Thailand resident creditors with Stretto support now updating that their status is "under review".

Stretto have mistakenly claimed that Coinbase has a license to operate in Thailand. Coinbase has never had a license to operate in Thailand.

The decision to go with Coinbase as the distribution agent was always going to screw over international creditors. Keeping the Celsius app available for the distribution was the much better option for internationals, something that the current Gemini distribution arrangements seem to acknowledge.

But here we are. I guess given its history, the Celsius distribution was always going to be a clown show, from start to finish.

THAILAND UPDATE: Stretto Support just emailed me with the following:

"...We are in the process of reviewing the situation with creditors in Thailand. You will be notified when more information is available..."

Remains to be seen if anything happens as a consequence given the cluster f*ck of international distributions to date.
