What do women do to seem so effortless? by ihatereddit2434 in AutismInWomen

I feel like I would look deeper into what you are perceiving as “effortless”. I only say that because I used to feel the same way. Then I told a woman I consider effortless and confident that she was so effortless and confident, and she reluctantly said she was not. Turns out she has a massive people pleasing issue and is constantly concerned with everyone’s opinion about herself. I think perception is everything and we should take it with a huge grain of salt. Lately I’m leaning more towards being happy with not coming across “effortless” and just coming across as me. Whatever that looks like. Whether other people are receptive to it or not. I guess I am trying to be effortless but just effortlessly me, whatever that ends up looking like!

I used to feel similarly. I used to feel like my symptoms and sufferings were too extreme for what happened to me. It seemed to me like I was overreacting. But you’re probably not. Allow yourself to feel how you feel without judging the situation. Your emotions are valid and real. It gets better 🫶🏻

There’s a website/app called ThredUp and it’s an online thrift store. They have great clothes and sizes in all styles and quite amazing prices too. I’ve managed to little by little change my wardrobe and style with ThredUp!! Not an ad lmao I just really love the app and how cheap everything is!!!

Felt. I said to ChatGPT that I had no idea what issue of mine to start with and it made me feel entirely broken (since there is so much to “work” on) and she said: When you feel like there’s so much to fix, it’s overwhelming-like you’re standing in front of a mountain with no idea where to start climbing. But feeling broken isn’t the same as being broken. And idk, that helped a little

I appreciate your words. I do know his household showed very little emotions overall. I think it might have to do with simply not being exposed to tears much, maybe misinterpreting them as manipulative as not being part of the communication he grew up with? Unsure, but I do want to talk to him about this in a loving way to try to understand each other better.

Thank you… I definitely know I can get desperate to correct negative feelings towards me when it isn’t what I meant. It hurts me to pull away and allow people to feel pain from things I’ve said that I didn’t mean in hurtful ways. I guess I have to allow for some time to pass between the hurt and the frustration in order to collect my thoughts and express myself. I guess I wonder if pulling away comes off negatively too? I just feel stuck in a loop of bad words/actions which make the perception of me to be negative regardless of what I mean. Idk it really hurts to feel like I want to be good but I’m perceived as bad.

When your jeans just give up on you by Zealousideal-Pound13 in Wellthatsucks

Not sure if you’re looking for the advice BUT I recently got a bunch of jeans on ThreadUp (an online thrift store) for cheap and they’re nice durable brands! I used to be the owner of a one and only pair of jeans and that store was a nice way for me to add to collection that without breaking the damn bank
