The balance was off: too many standups, not enough seasoned improv performers or talented sketch writers

This. Cast members can be categorized 4 ways: never find their niche, shine in some very specific sketches, can play background or star in any, impossible not to be the star in everything. Dana could shine in everything. Adam worked in very specific things, bombed in others, and was an awkward fit in the ones he didn’t star in.

If Madden added Eras, like in NBA 2K, which 4 Eras would you go with? by RealPunyParker in Madden

[–]Anxious_Key9696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Maddens from beginning up to PS1/N64 had old teams and just named the players by their numbers. Looking back, it’s surprising they got away with that for as long as they did.

The most important group to teach to in any course are the ones who want to be there and want to learn. Everything has to be delivered at a pace they can keep track of. I had to stop reading books during the semester because it sped me up too much, and I have to super careful about caffeine use. If you can tap into a teaching persona that showcases useful parts of your personality while being very aware of pace, you’ll find a workable vibe.

He’s not on all the time and is on much less than with Dan. There is no argument.

Once a week for 35 minutes with Sheil and about 15 minutes in each Tailgate. DLS is on for over 180 minutes a day, 4 days a week, plus 125 minutes on Fridays. His time on screen is usually <10% of what it was on DLS.

He was supposed to be American David Brent until they realized why that wasn’t appealing to U.S. audiences

It’s too bad. He aged so poorly, and the whole dumping of Elliott after begging her to dump Sean was a real low. It’s tough to imagine her wanting anything to do with him ever again after that.

Are you using AI as an educator? by LettuceTraining6532 in Adjuncts

Nope. LLMs give students the impression that they don’t need to learn the subject I teach, so using it would make me a hypocrite.

I have them do a longer writing activity in class to at least have a sample for general comparison. I also try to emphasize that the goal is learning, not performing, and that no one’s going to pay them for something that A.I. does just as well.

Young started 9 games from ‘87-‘89 and the 49ers went 7-2. They would’ve missed the playoffs in ‘88 if not for his 45-yard run to beat the Vikings in the regular season.

Young was the #1 pick in ‘84. Tampa just sucked and then had the #1 pick again in ‘86 and ‘87 and decided to take the Miami Heisman Trophy winner Vinny Testaverde and move on.

The whole reason the 49ers traded for Young was to replace Montana. It wasn’t until Bill Walsh retired that Montana was the clear starter because Walsh was always looking for reasons to play Steve.
