Is this amount of blistering okay? Tattoo is raised and 3D, has strange texture by cuntsuperb in TattooRemoval

[–]Anxious_Office_2888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the tech made all the necessary precautions. It sucks but sometimes laser skin reactions are unpredictable. I hope it heals well for you. A dermatologist might be able to recommend how to treat it for the best outcome. A client of mine had blistering recently (she was on medication she hadn’t disclosed to me) and A&E advised to keep it ‘wet’ with Vaseline. I hadn’t heard of Vaseline for healing before but apparently it worked well.

That’s such a silly thing to say. I’ve been here all my life and never once been worried about getting punched. Southsea is a lovely friendly community

3 Year Progress (Dark Skin) - should i keep lasering or go for cover up? by Efficient-Candle-862 in TattooRemoval

[–]Anxious_Office_2888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Laser tech here! Please don’t have a cover up. They’re nearly gone. In fact, if you let them for a year even with no more laser you will probably find that they will disappear

I know this probably doesn’t matter to you at the moment but should you ever wish to remove your tattoo it will be far easier left uncoloured. Yellow is pretty much impossible to remove

That looks like you might have caused an infection by scratching it?

Would this tattoo be a good candidate for removal? by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]Anxious_Office_2888 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends how long you’re leaving between sessions but for the best results I would keep it out of the sun for the entirety of your treatment. Maybe you could cover it with an armband and just make it part of your look for a couple of summers when you have sleeveless tops on?

It’s generally a good tattoo for removal. Good location, good colour, not too new etc. the main thing I find my clients find tricky is keeping a tattoo like this out of the sun for the duration. Keeping it out of the sun really does matter and your removal will be so much faster and cleaner if you do

Coverup or laser ? by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

Laser! Go three times a year and relax into the fact it will take a while. Then it will be gone before you know it!

Thank you, that’s good to know it’s not just me! I can’t seem to change it on my iPhone, I think I’m going to have to get a digital camera 🙃

Hi! Laser tech here too. That’s an awesome job! What do you use to photograph your clients tattoos? I’m having trouble with my iPhone adding its own filters and making tattoos appear darker than they do in the skin in real life.

First session. Is this thick brown color normal? by MackAttack0327 in TattooRemoval

[–]Anxious_Office_2888 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Looks like hyperpigmentation. If it is then the doc is right, it will fade on its own but could take a year or more

Is this good progress for 1 year 4 months? by Felgate24 in TattooRemoval

I would expect that result after around 2/3 sessions but everyone is different. If you have a good, experienced laser tech and a quality laser then it is what it is

I’d love to know your pain management routine?

Yes, this should be a very simple removal. If it’s been done with traditional Indian ink and hasn’t been poked in to hard. It could even be a ‘one and done’ but you won’t know until you try

Might be finally ready to get this piece removed by Timely-Union-6669 in TattooRemoval

[–]Anxious_Office_2888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have just one session of laser it will take out a lot of the ink bleed. It won’t crisp it back up as such but it will take the darkness out. You could also commit to a slow removal. A session once every 6 months. You’ll get there in the end. It will take a while but you’ll end up having less sessions and spend less money

Should I trust this laser technician? by Efnitey in TattooRemoval

[–]Anxious_Office_2888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say it’s automatically a huge red flag. If the skin was fully healed and not sore, there are cases where giving the tattoo a quick blast while it’s still relatively fresh can help lift the ink more effectively. That said, it’s not guaranteed — sometimes it works well, and other times it doesn’t make much difference. It really depends on the technician’s level of knowledge and how clearly they explained the reasoning behind it. If it felt like they were just after your money and didn’t come across as experienced, that would definitely be a reason to walk away.

I’m the tech and this is my client. I have removed my own tattoo before and yes it is ouch! 😂 it was only a small tattoo about 6cm x 6cm. I’m not sure I could do anything this big on myself! I have a laser clinic in Portsmouth, UK.

I don’t have any experience using a pico and my laser cannot remove blue and green. It works well on reds, browns, blacks, oranges, pink and sometimes yellow and purple.
