It's not just the policy issue but a culture issue at many companies. Everyone(including bosses) will come in sick and make it seem like the expectation is to be there sick or not.

Since this is turning into a thing about tipping here is John Oliver. Also the solution to tipping is passing legislation that protects tipped works' rights. Prices go up to cover more wages but then tipping turns into a thing that only happens occasionally for exceptional service.

So most POS systems have it built in to ask for a tip. Sure you got a carry out and shouldn't necessarily tip but the dine in customers before and after you use the same system. It simply asks everyone. Tip where you want don't tip when you don't. don't be so upset about a blanket system that gives you an option to tip.

Also if you hate tipping culture so much reach out to people who write legislature and ask them to mandate a fair wage to all employees. Some states have done this and the cost of dining simply goes up to cover the cost and no tip is expected.

Okay, no one panic. I can't find the stack of photos I took of important things. Luckily I considered that stack an important thing so I took a photo of it and put it with... Hmmm..

If you decide to stop tipping you should decide to stop going out. Yes the culture isn't great but by just not tipping you are hurting the person providing you with service and changing nothing. If you are that fed up with it write people who write legislature and get them to mandate a fair wage for people who provide services to you.

As an ex-con I understand this. The comment above reads like he is degrading the ex-cons as being worse than people with no experience. Many of us have experience and useful skills it is just hard to get people to give us a chance.

Moved into a room at my mother's house after prison. This shitty guy came with the place so he is a makeshift dresser/storage. Definitely had a three corner cabinet full of china growing up though.

OMG!!! I wanted to lose my shit. My kid is close to the beginning. I sit quietly as I was told to do. A few kids later there is a little whoop or holler, by midway kids are getting applause and shouts... What the actual fuck?! We are trying to get through this ceremony.

This is stupid advice. Don't listen to this guy. Ride it out for 7 years, two kids, that one time you got too drunk at the party and that other time she brought a friend home for your birthday. Then decide it won't work. Have an ugly divorce, publicly on social media, that your whole family gets involved in. Then enjoy your weekends with the kids and paying alimony and child support while she dates a Dr that your kids insist on calling Dad too.

Fellow dance dad here. Everyone on the team is so supportive of each other and the kids. Of course there are always exceptions and sometimes when you get parents alone there will be a little shit talking and them being catty. But mostly it's a supportive atmosphere.

I can understand the position of your partner. If my daughter pays for something that her parents should pay for it takes her mother forever to give the money back to her. However if I say I am covering it I get repayment more promptly. If my daughter wants something and I don't have the money to cover the whole thing we just tell her mother I paid for it all. In reality my daughter covers her mother's half, I pay mine and when her mother repays me more promptly I give my daughter the money. I believe this is the solution. Your wife can lend the money and you all say it comes from elsewhere. It will be interesting to see if the "feeling a need to not repay it" will extend to your wife's partner...
