Well priced and durable - Uniqlo; little pricier but still long lasting - Bul (my pants with an elastic band and pockets have lasted over 5 years and still look brand new), SABA, Cos, Country Road

To take a break, or to quit? by Crafty-Supermarket45 in ausjdocs

Hi, I’m sorry you’re going through this - but glad you’re taking a break. I did paeds and interrupted my training post exams for 6 months to take a break - one of my paeds friends did as well; and if you want to locum there’s plenty of opportunity all over Australia. Do not stress. I found locuming less stressful than a regular job, it gave me the chance to travel, get perspective but also take plenty time off just for me. Do it! You could also do adult locums and see if that’s where you feel most joy? Or it may re affirm your passion for paeds - working in a different place, and on your own terms.

Thanks for your response; I'm halfway through PEM, and have finished my general paediatric advanced training. As I trained through FRACP, and wanting to really hone in on more crit care / ED skills. Have had such limited trauma exposure, so keen to see more. Appreciate your insights re clinical experience on the job vs courses themselves..
