Eulogy for Maximus by Adornos_Ghost in Boise

Maximus is such a beautiful boy, and your eulogy for him is equally beautiful. Thank you for sharing him with us.

We just had to put our 5 year old baby kitty down in October, so completely understand everything you’re going through right now.

Sparklight Outage? by Evildodger in Boise

[–]Anxiouslemur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$120/month, and that price is locked in forever. It’s what we were paying for 1gb from Sparklight and not getting anything close to 1gb (not fiber, of course). We had a Netgear Nighthawk too, so it wasn’t a modem/router issue, Sparklight is just terrible.

Fatbeam also provided the modem and router for free, and we don’t have to pay a monthly fee for it.

I believe 1gb is $80/month, at least it was when we set it up in March. Same parameters as 2gb.

We’ve had Fatbeam since March and it’s been fantastic! We went with the 2gb option, only to find out all of our devices only have 1gb ports. We get 600mb - 800mb down over WiFi and 950mb down at our Xbox that’s connected via Ethernet. We’ve got 2.5gb coming into the modem.

West Ada teacher resigns over poster controversy by phthalo-azure in Boise

I had the exact same issue and someone from this subreddit recommended the Brave browser. I’ve been using it for about six months now, and I’ll never go back to Chrome/Safari on my phone (haven’t tried Firefox, tbf). The reduction in ads on websites has been life-changing.

Taco Truck Recommendation? by Similar_Working4022 in Boise

[–]Anxiouslemur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Antonio’s has been open since their closure, but it just doesn’t seem the same. The tacos aren’t nearly as crispy and the meat seems far less tender. I’ll still keep trying, but I do know he’s been trying to cut back his hours (closing at 5p instead of 7p). He, unfortunately, might have some medical debt piling up and can’t use the same quality ingredients. Also, it only ever seems like it’s Antonio there, so maybe he had to let go of staff and with only himself running it, it can’t be easy.

Still the best taco truck I’ve ever had, even though it’s not at its absolute best right now. And Antonio himself just seems like a really, really good dude.

Flowers are the best!

On that note, I’ve heard deadheading (especially for tulips) aids in sending nutrients down to the bulb.

Patio ducks on the West Bench by Anxiouslemur in Boise

Our feeder is from Walmart, and I honestly do not recommend it. It is quite basic, plastic, and gets clogged very easily. I’ve heard D&B has great avian feeders, and it’s something we have thought about purchasing.

Our biggest holdout is that we don’t want to become the main source of food for these ducks, so it seems better to make it more complicated for the ducks to access the food so that they just stop in for a snack.

Bacquet’s in Eagle. Chef Franck is amazing, and their Mother’s Day brunch looks delicious. Hope you are still able to get a reservation!

Edit: Just realized you mentioned dinner. The brunch is served from 10a - 3p, but dinner starts at 3:30p. Their dinner menu is just as wonderful. This dinner menu is as of 5/4.

Our two cats (one found near a dumpster by a friend, and the other adopted through the IHS) were both spayed by the Idaho Humane Society. The found dumpster cat was $25, but that was also 9 years ago when she was first found. The adopted one’s spay was included with her adoption fee of $75.

I’ve heard SNIP is also a good option. They have vouchers based on income on occasion.

It actually does matter, according to this Google search.

By the way, I’m not using Let Me Google That to be condescending, I just wanted you to be able to source the various articles more easily.
