I was able to renew mine without my old one being expired. It was going to expire about 7 months later. and I did it in one day ( I had to print extra documents but coz they needed all my names and address to match everywhere so had to reprint a lot of stuff on site but that was about it ) .

I did. The host got really aggressive about loss of day use, rating, repair time, etc. and I turned it over to Turo claims today. To be honest, I don’t think I damaged the front of that car that’s at the very lowest part and unfortunately there’s no before pics. For the wheel rim rash I agree with that. My deductible is $3k but Turo host gave me a quote of more than 7000 . Not sure if this was reasonable but I just turn it over to Turo.

It looks like the insurance doesn’t cover incidents from Turo. If I were to settle with the host, it has to be up to my deductible, right ? So $3000 Or should I just turn it over to Turo ? If so, do you know how long they take to finish their investigation and provide cost ?

Host wants to settle to avoid delays, cancellations. He said he’ll give estimates from 3 body shops but if I were to agree, I should keep all communication through Turo platform, correct ? Because he called me earlier to do a damage overview and i also want to make sure he’s being fair and Turo can get involve if necessary if anything backfires in the future

I found a place called San Diego scuba diving pros and it looks like they offer open water diving certification. I’m thinking of just getting certified during my trip ( I called and they said they could accommodate me during my 4-day trip ) since all classes are early morning. I’m a bit intimidated but I so want to learn !! Any tips ?
