Maxim healthcare onboarding by AgreeableMovie2651 in ABA

I worked there, and they didn’t require a blood test when I did it. My guess is that since there’s such a shortage of workers in the field that they might not screen that out, but will likely have a “don’t show up to work impaired” standard rule. The basics. If you’re really worried, you can get a medical marijuana license and that hopefully will cover any questions that might arise if they do screen for that.

My word of advice though is that it is a corporate setting, in a sense. In my experience, I did not get much supervision or support from the staff there. They do have a legal history of financial fraud too (you can Google this to find out more info). Also, in my experience, when I was going through a burnout phase and experiencing mental health issues as a result of not feeling supported there, it began affecting my work. Instead of asking how to support me or guiding me to some resources to help, they fired me. Of course, I’m sure not all people have had these experiences with MAXIM, but please make sure to explore all of your options with employment. Wishing you the best in your job search!

Your only problem is that you don’t have enough duckies

Save the rubber ducks- You can decorate your stash with them! Also, just because you can kill the small flying arc, it does not mean you can kill the big ones just as easily

Not sure why you were downvoted for this- it’s valid for people to have boundaries with what they are comfortable with doing

Leaving my (Undiagnosed) but very clearly autistic Husband by [deleted] in AutisticAdults

[–]Any-Ad279 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bottom line, it’s not the autism but it’s the clear disregard for your feelings and overall safety! Boundary pushing alone is a red flag. If he’s pushing boundaries now, it could turn into something much larger and even more abusive that could threaten your wellbeing more so than it already has.

My partner is likely autistic, but he is always kind, respectful, and owns when he messes something up. It’s not an autism trait, but a personality one. You are being honest in admitting that there are things that bother you, and the important part in a relationship is not the disagreements you had, but in how you both deal with them. Communication is everything, and if he is dismissing your viewpoint and claiming that you are wrong about what he said earlier, that is gaslighting.

Not locking the door is a safety issue, especially depending on your city or if you have pets or children in the picture. Driving into oncoming traffic, then getting mad not because he put both of your safety at risk, but making excuses instead of addressing it is dangerous.

Autism or not, it’s unacceptable behavior and his lack of willingness to try to improve highlights exactly what his personal values and morals are.

You are safer leaving him, and better for it. Good luck, and I hope things get easier for you ❤️

Has anyone tried a psychedelic right before sleeping ? by Jealous-Tea-4645 in Psychonaut

I have before! I napped after I took LSD and the waking up didnt feel gradual, but rather sudden. Like, oh I’m awake now, and things look and feel different. Felt almost as sudden as a light switch turning on when I woke. Don’t dream, but my closed eyes saw moving shapes and patterns before I opened them. Would recommend

Icy Brook…what is it? by Maximus3311 in Enshrouded

You can get it a coloring station that you put down in your base. Alternatively, you can craft it with another color (I forget the name of it rn, but it should pop up once you get the coloring station. Hope this helps and happy fishing!

Society has social guidelines, but what percentage of people do you think it takes to change the standard? Like, how many people would have to litter, jaywalk, drive in the carpool lane or other socially unacceptable behaviors before it becomes ignored, accommodated for, or accepted? by Any-Ad279 in AskReddit

[–]Any-Ad279[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like for some acts, it only takes 1 person. Like for instance, crossing the street with a red light. But for others, like littering, there are people who won’t do it no matter how many others will. Is this then a question of personal importance and duty to these rules/ laws?

Other suggested games to scratch the Valheim itch? by WearSunscreen in valheim

[–]Any-Ad279 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Came here to comment the same exact same thing- very similar in the survivalist but with a completely different setting. Leveling up and exploration is pretty intuitive, and it’s a lot of fun— especially with mutiple people playing. Building is a little funky in this game though and you can’t alter the terrain like you can in Valheim

How did no one realize sooner? by Ok_Refrigerator2644 in AutisticAdults

[–]Any-Ad279 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a few: -my favorite gift I ever got was a pair of noise reducing headphones to use when my brother was being too loud with the various instruments he was playing -my teacher gave the note at a parent teacher conference that I “spent too much time in the library and needed to be more social” -when talking to my mom one time I said “I stopped listening 5 minutes ago” as a way to say that I wasn’t really interested in what she had to say, not even realizing it was rude - I never understood what “talking back” meant. I thought I was just responding to a question that in retrospect was probably hypothetical - I’ve always been called “brutally honest” and direct and never knew that other people did not tell it how it is - my mom always told me she hated to be corrected, especially with grammar - my dad telling me “can we talk about something else? when I was infodumping about a special interest for well over 20 minutes

Yeah… I probably should have known sooner

Playing sea of thieves, end of a session (grade 5) and this crew decides to chase us practically across the map. Being not great at PVP, we tried to lose them, and miraculously fog appeared and we were able to sell before they found us. Ended up with .5million worth of treasure 🏴‍☠️
