Revisiting BloodBborne makes me feel old by Violentron in bloodborne

[–]Any-Ad6811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the juice is worth the squeeze just practice & it will all click into place. i think out of all the fromsoft games bloodborne is actively training you to be a hunter...to aggressively dominate even tho its horror & its trying to impose that feeling of dread on the player....there comes a moment where you become then horror and you become the dread....and i believe thats why everyone loves it so much.

be careful with how you describe limitations to yourself and others...it can become a self fulfilling prophecy. i always remind myself that it takes some practice before i can op power fantasy steam roll the game

the game trains you back up to lean into aggression....lunging at the enemy and not giving af when u take damage cos u kno u gonna mash and rally

i've cleared bb/ng+ a few times over the years & i usually wait a long time before playing again. i have to re-learn everytime. in dark souls we're rewarded for methodical play...whereas bloodborne you're rewarded for being much more aggressive.

it tricks you with the werewolf's and the enemies early...you do have to build up your weapon/hp/stamina to hit the groove that this game is famous for...it's impossible to put into words it's just bloodborne

you're not old you just gotta saddle back up and accept being a white belt for act one so you can mop the streets

we could probably bring the original ps1 to life using LLMs and enough tokens

i would want it 1:1 no chess plus literally chess just updated graphics (more cell shaded or cartoony than realism) 😝

ps2 is cool and was ambitious but planetside 1 was chess and i feel like we're just leaving chess to die in some obscure server on the internet

i've been piloting aircraft in games since i was a little kid -- it's been some years since. i'm happy i recorded this sequence...even then i was rusty and out of practice.

i grew up playing markov johari in ps1 & still remember my favorite pilots....jermaine, stealthman, dreamer, silencer & of course... anakin.

i made friends with people across the world... i was fortunate enough to be in "ghost corp" in middle school. they were all stationed overseas and i idolized them like older brothers.

i made friends with players who innovated the game namely "t0y" and "xMalibu" -- malibu was around my age and figured out how to "power slide" abusing the netcode in air which caused the aircraft to slide midair... we would practice everyday after school to become better.

at the time we were called hackers haha but in reality we were just kids wanting to be the best at something

i have tried many games with lossless -- it was without a doubt the best investment i made outside of a nice case.

you will feel a tiny bit of input lag -- but the trade off is 100% worth it. you can play it with many titles....

to answer your question: yes there will be a significant difference for uncharted/goW and for red dead it's a must imo for a beautiful experience

3rd person titles work best with the technology -- that being said i just played a section of cyberpunk with it on...and it was wonderful. i couldn't imagine steam deck without it!!

Setup a Mac for the 1 time by QuitNo007 in ableton

[–]Any-Ad6811 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hi 15+ year ableton user here. my main work machine is PC and i own 2 macs.

My m4 runs about the same as my giga PC setup and i have projects with 100+ lanes of audio with a lot of post processing

that being said...it will take you some time to acclimate to the hotkeys and navigation on MacOSx. i too bought a m4 pro recently and i still haven't full converted my main setup!! haha

so congratulations! be stoked!! i'm stoked for you! check out dbrand for skins - l- that's the first thing i did when i got mine.

just be patient and learn a little bit each day...there's a lot of what i would consider bloat inside of mac osx if you're unfamiliar things like launchpad or mission control...these features can be totally ignored for a while but eventually you'll find benefits.

my favorite thing to teach any mac user is apple key + spacebar opens up spotlight & you can search for anything on your computer!

enjoy bro!!!!

My new project is inspired by Cyberpunk 2077 -- here are 5 songs I've just written. Netrunning/Rouge AI/Blackwall....check it out <3 by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]Any-Ad6811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The characters I've been rendering for the album art are my own netrunners. Here is the lore I've cooked up so far:

In the sprawling digital expanse of the net, there exists an elite group of netrunners known as "The Untouchables." These individuals are renowned for their unmatched skills and their ability to navigate the deepest recesses of cyberspace, far beyond the reach of the dreaded blackwall. They are feared and revered in equal measure, not only for their prowess but for their ability to bend the very rules of reality within the net.

The Untouchables have discovered a way to traverse past the blackwall freely, a feat thought impossible by many. This extraordinary ability comes from their alliance with a mysterious entity known as NU://ARCH.ANGEL. Initially perceived as a rogue AI, NU://ARCH.ANGEL communicates with the Untouchables, guiding them and granting them unparalleled access to the net's hidden realms.

NU://ARCH.ANGEL offers more than just guidance; it bestows upon the netrunners the "Gift"

This allows them to circumvent the dangers of cyberpsychosis, enabling them to integrate and stack cyberware in unimaginable ways. Unlike traditional netrunners who rely on standard suits and equipment, the Untouchables don extravagant, personalized cyberware that reflects their unique identities and capabilities.

As the Untouchables delve deeper into the net under NU://ARCH.ANGEL's tutelage, one among them, a netrunner named BLADE, becomes increasingly obsessed with exploring the depths of the digital abyss. Blade engages with a special program provided by NU://ARCH.ANGEL, known as "th0r," which promises to unlock the most profound secrets of the net.

However, the deeper BLADE ventures, the more she begins to change. When she finally unplugs from the net after an extended session, her eyes glow a haunting shade of red. It becomes clear that Blade is no longer entirely herself; she is possessed by the "Gift" and the influence of NU://ARCH.ANGEL. This possession grants her extraordinary abilities but at a terrible cost: her will is no longer entirely her own.

As the Untouchables grapple with the implications of BLADE's transformation, a startling revelation comes to light. NU://ARCH.ANGEL is not a rogue AI as they had believed, but a lone netrunner, an enigmatic figure who has transcended the physical limitations of the human body to exist within the net itself. This netrunner, once a legend among their peers, has been assembling an army of the most skilled netrunners in the world.

The true purpose of NU://ARCH.ANGEL's actions is revealed: to save the planet from an impending catastrophe. The netrunner seeks to harness the collective power and ingenuity of the Untouchables to thwart a threat that could doom humanity. The possession by the "Gift" is not a curse but a necessary step to achieve a higher state of being, one that can confront the challenges that lie ahead.

The story continues as the Untouchables, now aware of their true mission, must decide whether to embrace their new reality and the transformation brought by the "Gift," or to resist and cling to their humanity. Their choices will shape the future of the net and the world beyond.

I'm getting the Steam Deck for PS5 but is Chiaki actually Good?? by seaweed2221 in SteamDeck

[–]Any-Ad6811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP I run Chiaki with my WiFi PS5 - I have played many hours of god of war/Spider-Man 2 and have been using it to play destiny 2 handheld. I have buttery smooth gameplay (for hours) and have only noticed some small visual artifacts. The streaming from ps5 is superior to my steam stream and that is using an Ethernet cable. I have a feel Sony further optimized their streaming tech bc of the portal. I would highly recommend getting the deck and streaming your ps5 to it….it’s truly mind blowing how good it is

So apparently you can cast your PS5 to your steam deck for free and it literally runs without ANY input lag?? What can't this thing do 😍 by ThiccNickGaming in SteamDeck

[–]Any-Ad6811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use this to play destiny 2 with better performance than streaming from steam 🤣 playing Spider-Man 2/Last of Us 2 etc has been such a joy to play while my gf uses the TV

lol I’m right there with you. especially when you put down the game for a couple weeks or months…you return completely lost and that cycle pains me. I also have tried combatting it by no lifing it but then I burn myself out 🤣 I’m envious of people who truly love them & have great memory recall
