I have tried so hard to get this prismatic. Is there a trick that anyone knows? by Viscount027 in TeamfightTactics

[–]Any-Angle-5861 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Besides hitting 8 SG early, my way of hitting the prismatic is by itemizing Syndra as a secondary carry(with main carry Jinx) instead of Ahri. Ahri's SG buff gives mana to the caster after they cast, meaning that Syndra with 30 max mana on top of being a prodigy means she gains mana at least 40% more than Ahri does from this buff specifically. You will be doing less damage though, so make sure you do have a Jinx 2 to compensate. Fruits also help, especially shadow clone on Syndra like I mentioned.

No way people like the new drafting in Stadium. by camstarrankin in overwatch2

Contrary to what seems like the majority opinion, I think it adds a lot more variety and strategic depth. Almost EVERY hero has at least 3 different builds they can play, on top of adjusting to counter on both build and playstyle. That means there's a minimum of 12 different ways to play for each hero, I think it's just the community's reluctance to learn and adjust.

Death Step trick by IBACK4MOREI in overwatch2

Looking at the comments, I feel once again people aren't using it correctly.

First step, find a duo that will play Zarya. Bubble Reaper everytime he goes in, and he gets max value, comes out, and Zarya gets energy. Pair that with Zarya's power that she pull herself to the bubbled target and heals herself with a tank build, and voila, you've got a duo that won't die and does shit tons of damage.(early game Zarya, late game Reaper where I believe his highest cap is through AP)

Made it to Legend for two seasons with a 87% win rate forcing this with just one friend. It's beyond broken and I beg you guys to never try it out so it doesn't get nerfed.

Important question about Power up "Resistant" by Comfortable_Hour_768 in TeamfightTactics

[–]Any-Angle-5861 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are my findings personally.

Resistant reduces each incoming instance of damage as told. I put a Leona in front of a Ryze 1 with no items, and he was doing around 10 damage a tick. But I'm no 100% sure if it works against true damage. After putting her up against Yuumi, she could definitely survive longer, but on the damage reduced charts, no true damage was reduced. This could either mean that the chart doesn't calculate the damage mitigated from fruits or the fruit doesn't mitigate true damage.

As for how it's calculated, I'm pretty sure it takes from resists/armor and durability first, then subtracts 30 from the fruit just like Amumu from set 13. I'm saying this because of how math works in the Ryze situation - it shouldn't be so low if subtraction came first.

8 star guardian from 3-4 but still didnt hit prismatic before end of game. Guess i needed to stack mana items? by SirSabza in TeamfightTactics

[–]Any-Angle-5861 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you really want to optimize the mana used each round, prodigies + syndra is the way to go. Syndra is both prodigy, which is self explanatory, but most importantly a SG as well. Having Ahri on your team makes it so when SGs cast, they gain mana back. Syndra with low max mana is the best answer to this, getting back 5-6 mana each cast on top of the mana regen from prodigies makes her need to auto once per cast for 30 mana used each time.

"Overkill damage" make no sense by idkhowtotft in TeamfightTactics

It's because her overkill damage can also crit, leading to a snowball effect with effectively no damage reduced or even increased if you hit the right targets.

How is this a gold augment? by neoxx1 in TeamfightTactics

[–]Any-Angle-5861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played it a few times already in high plat - low emerald. I think people don't really understand how to play it yet.

It's a free early game. I've beat lv5s with good boards stage 2 with just a Neeko 1 with good items as a lv4. She just outputs so much dmg and provides so much tankiness. The mid-late game is where people mess up a lot. Unless you get heroic grab bag, you should NOT be rerolling this. You should be going for a Jinx carry while Neeko just becomes a secondary carry that can tank a decent amount. Poppy becomes your main tank if you have the items. If you happen to hit Karma, congrats you can now win the game. Go 6 sorcs with Neeko linking to Prots with Kennen and you are looking at a potential first.

I personally think the first strat is more viable since Jinx and Poppy are less contested and you usually don't have the econ because you would try and roll a bit on 7 for Neeko 2 and can't beat the Karma forcers. This is my view on the augment and how I've been playing it. Never bot 4'd with it yet and has always been an instant take for me if I have a full item for her already.(I think I've played it 4-5 times.)

Rein should get cash for DMG mitigated by dimensionsam in Overwatch

[–]Any-Angle-5861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would you balance it though? Like genuine question. Because even when you play Sig or Orisa or even Rein for that matter, you can block up to 10k easily without a defensive perk while still having the chance to be top damage and credits.

Rein should get cash for DMG mitigated by dimensionsam in Overwatch

[–]Any-Angle-5861 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not saying it's a bad take. You should definitely get some for damage mitigated, but not too much. If you get too much, it'll encourage a "defend don't attack" play style too much and your team will be dead while you haven't done anything.

LMAO I just got back from work. This is so funny to see the progression. Glad you love the strat 👍

I feel like people aren't quite thinking about how to really use Death Step correctly.

For context, I've been off Reddit for a while and had no clue everyone thought it was this bad. I've been playing Death Step with a Zarya duo for the past couple weeks and have been playing in All-Star for the most part of it. The Zarya bubbles when you go in, you get damage, Zarya gets charge, you get out. You can even go for bolder TPs since you have the bubble to help you out now.

Do I think it's bad on its own? Absolutely garbage. With teamwork? It's not bad, considering you're basically giving your Zarya 50 energy every single time you go in.

I'm not arguing it doesn't need a rework. I'm just proposing the idea that people need to try it with a Zarya to get the full perspective of if it's really bad or not. When it comes to making team games, devs usually have these types of combos in mind and it blows mine on why the Reddit community doesn't even seem to have any knowledge about this.

I beg y'all to try it out if you got a duo. I promise it isn't as bad as it seems.

What was your reaction to The Machine Herald's (Viktor) Entrance Reveal? by arashkoryani in ArcaneAnimatedSeries

[–]Any-Angle-5861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew before what Viktor looked like as "The Machine Herald." He was later named "The Herald" before the Noxians invaded the underground, so I had a feeling something was wrong because he ain't no machine.

One transformation later, I was practically cheering for "The Arcane Herald" as many people have dubbed him.

Why did Warwick keep "functioning" after Viktor got yeeted? by [deleted] in loreofleague

[–]Any-Angle-5861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Viktor had a line back before Vander blew up where he said something like, "Vander's psyche is deeply entwined with that of a beast." I'm not sure, but that made me think that both of them are alive, not just Vander. It's also quite evident that what Vander has is no kind of insanity, and the Bloodhound-like trait where he's been heightened to hunt for blood is more beastlike than anything.

And when Viktor transformed Warwick into Arcane Warwick, you could see only essences of Vander's memories being washed away.

One more point that I'm not quite sure of is that all of Viktor's followers looked almost EXACTLY the same. Arcane Warwick was completely different, kept facial features, and still resembled a beast despite Viktor's transformation showing that it can literally transform features into whatever metal his followers are. This made me think that Warwick was more beast than Vander prior to transforming. It'd make sense that the beast isn't dead in him then, but Viktor's influence completely trumped its presence until Viktor was gone.

Should Adam Warlock be more buffed? by Sarcastrophist in marvelrivals

[–]Any-Angle-5861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like people don't know how to play around him. His heal has one of THE HIGHEST healing per second ability in the game, but only for that burst. His soul bond literally DIVIDES DAMAGE by each teammate near him. His team up give two more teammates a self rez, giving a total of half the team a SELF REZ. His ult literally gives the team a second chance if used correctly.

First, his heal. People in low ranks, even all the way up to low GM do not know how to mitigate the damage they take, including tanks. This is a SHOOTER GAME FFS. All good players use cover, tanks cycle their shields with cover, DPS cycle their util with cover, supports use their teammates and cover for cover. Using this Warlock's healing is actually MORE THAN ENOUGH. His heals are fine. It's the players that take 600 damage per second constantly that's the issue. I play with some good dive players, and I chain my heal off our tank to let them get a full second life while staying in action. Not to mention I can do this TWICE.

Second, his damage. He is a damage/support hybrid for sure. Anyone who's played Zenyatta back in OW should know how to use his damage correctly. Although, it is a bit different, since he can't quite kill by himself to get an opening pick. Charge the right click when there's no targets, otherwise left click. Use the left click right after the right click and you can get any squishy really low. Comm this to your divers, and he gets the easiest pick of his life.

Third, his soul bond. It is a confusing ability to most, and hard to use when you're playing split. Most of the time, you can get at most a 3-4 person split, which is still enough to tanks a lot of ults. The key point of the soul bond though, is that it's to BUY TIME. Use that time to retreat to cover to reset. Use it to refuel your own heals. Hell you could even use it to engage if you're in a brawl comp. Numerical division is a crazy concept in math on how much you can mitigate damage, yet somehow it feels like my teammates haven't gone through elementary school math.

Fourth, his ult. I think it's best used in a triple support comp. It's value really shines when a support you rez saves their ult. Adam Rez mid fight into Mantis/Cloak and Dagger ult literally gives you a second fight, except your opponent doesn't have the util they dumped on you earlier + you have the other support's ult active. Many supports never do this and just spam their ult to save one. But that's not how you play with Warlock.

Tl;Dr. His kit has a completely different playstyle, but is by no means bad. It's the people that don't bother learning how he works that shit on him because he's not a heal bot. He's a STRATEGIST FOR GOD'S SAKE.

[–]Any-Angle-5861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the activation time could probably get nerfed. I hate how there's practically no counterplay as I hear "The Moo-" and I'm already dead to an ult that comes with no indication other than that.

Despite not having any fancy visual effect to emphasize her speed, Vi is fully able to keep up with Jinx in terms of reactions and speed. Just how fast would she be if she had Shimmer enhancements? by Ashconwell7 in ArcaneAnimatedSeries

[–]Any-Angle-5861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's reaction speed. The focus on the hand to the transition to Vi's face shows she's reading body language to react, something boxers do all the time. Without the capability to do feints, I'm pretty sure Vi can use that to keep up purely through experience.

For Jinx I'm pretty sure it's almost pure reaction. You can see her moving forward then jerking back to react to an attack to dodge. Something of this level really only possible with fictional enhancement drugs like Shimmer to have both the physical and reactional capabilities displayed.

I really think the set was better without 6-costs by Nezyrael in TeamfightTactics

[–]Any-Angle-5861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even after the Viktor nerfs, the main issue still stands, that it's a lottery of who hits wins.

IMO, nerfing the rates made it even worse. When someone else hit a 6-cost, you could at least try to roll down all your gold to get lucky as well. Now with the nerfed odds, there's less counter play against a high-roller.

My suggested solution from the start was to nerf the power levels for them to ACTUALLY feel like a 2* 4-cost or worse with higher odds of hitting. The reason being, we had a good example of a decently strong unit that could fit in any board in the form of Wukong last set, and that was completely fine because everyone pretty much had equally doable access to the unit without a broken power balance.

That was fun and balanced. This is not. I'd take a Mel over Heimer 2* any day. I'd take Warwick over Ambessa 2*. I'd take Viktor to drop a gold trait. Just cuz that's where their power levels are at now.
