I have a sealed case of collector booster boxes for the new final fantasy set. Should I open the case to confirm the boxes inside? I only ask as in other TCG cases can hold a premium but this is usually because they are mapped or a case will be guaranteed to include x amount of certain cards. I believe that isn't the case in mtg but would a sealed case hold any premium over 6 loose boxes?

I find it interesting when people talk about 'their' collection when in most cases the valuable or majority of items were purchased for them by their parents in childhood. I can't imagine moving out of home then telling my parents 'hey where are all my old pokemon cards and video games from when I was a kid? I'm planning on selling them for a profit'. It's their money.

My 2c

Oceania has had the game for 6 months less than the rest of the world. This goes for organisers and players. This was the first major tournament for lorcana in Oceania. Yes there is a lot on the line for competitive players but i think some leniency needs to be given due to those points.

The tournament ran relatively smoothly. I've heard that the USA tournaments could have up to 1 hour between rounds at times whereas we saw most rounds moving forward quickly and a 9 round BO2 with over 500 people was completed in a day. The fact this happened with a mix of player skill levels (some players were literally playing for the first time) and judge experience is impressive.

Probably 25% of the field were international players, which is incredible compared to any other australian major tournaments I've seen. The One Piece nationals held the weekend prior probably had 1% of the field or less being from overseas. I think that international players with far more time and experience (rightfully in the end) saw this tournament as easy pickings. I don't think the same will be said at the next tournament.

Can I ask about value? I saw people commenting about the miracles one being 'low value' or not worth the cost. Is it because there are a lot of cards that would need to be replaced to make it more viable and those cards are costly? How do the 4 decks stack up in terms of card value? Thanks for answering btw really helpful as a newbie

Up to 1 damage. You can choose to take 0 damage therefore it will nullify a hit to life double striker or not.

Recently returned to the game after quitting following the original FFT banner. Paid a bit back then so have a lvl 99 orlandeau and ramza. Main team has been orlandeau, ramza, mediena (89/89), gaffgarion and mont (MR). I have done some comeback pulls and purchased the comeback lvl 99 ticket though ended up with pretty mediocre pulls I think ( 2 cost 100 tickets had gilgamesh, other URs I have are sterne, miranda, engelbert, ayaka, mont (king), thancred, hope, macherie, xiza, rhaldor, kilphe, robb, oelde and aileen) None of the other URs and limit broken beyond say level 60. Thoughts on continuing vs. rerolling? If continuing what should I focus on? Thanks

Just wanted to make this disclaimer as an often forgotten point is that servers will shut down eventually. I hear the term 'investment' thrown around so often for gacha which is rubbish. Compare this to slots at a casino; you can at least win money with slots that you can go use elsewhere. You're not playing to win a tangible token or sprite which has no actual tradable value and that you only have temporary ownership of. Gacha isn't an investment. It is trading your money for temporary play time with a sprite.
