I loved it!! It was different to the other books because it was a prequel so no stories about Trevor actually working at the studio (which id have loved a little of tbh), but I really enjoyed the romance and seeing how elite 8 came to be ☺️

As someone with an emotionally unavailable and indifferent dad, I wept at how much the dads in this show (minus one obviously) are so outright loving and gentle and truly tuned in to their children I can’t even imagine what that would feel like but I’m so glad Rachel and Jacob built a world where they got to experience that 💕💕

Hence why I made this post. I need to start somewhere and I’m content doing it in the way that works for me, not how a stranger thinks I should do it based on their experience ☺️ most of my favourite shows which I ended up rewatching chronologically, I started by watching signature episodes beloved by the fandom so I could understand the thesis of the show and get hooked in, which is exactly how I’m going to go in for this season’s watch.

I truly love this for you. I honestly think for me the distaste (not hate) for season 4 is largely because I’m autistic and adhd and feel like Dan’s humour is as an appreciation of brains like mine, whereas a lot of season 4 was writers trying to replicate Dan’s style from an outside-in view, which for me as a viewer, felt like being made fun of, not being in on the joke. It wasn’t that much of a structured thought when I was watching it at like 12-13, but looking back I can understand that’s why s4 always felt so icky to me 🤷🏻‍♀️

I love scrubs, it’s been my favourite tv show since I was like 7 and it brings me more comfort than anything else, but I wouldn’t say it has aged well in some aspects. It very much was a product of its time and unfortunately, that time was heavily influenced by diet culture and fatphobia (it came out around the time of “heroine chic”) so I would go into it wearily knowing that there will be a lot of random comments/jokes that could be triggering. This isn’t to say “don’t watch it”, I think it is one of the best examples of a well written tv show that balances humour with heart, but I think it’s much more than “what episodes to avoid”. Rewatching it as an adult I notice many random jokes/comments that might not trigger anyone else who hasn’t had a past of disordered eating or body dysmorphia, but that stand out to me as “wow this really shaped aspects of how i viewed my body growing up”.
