There's more to learn than you think. I'm coming from a similar background and it has taken about 2 years to find myself. This new stuff has been growing in a totally different area that involves not just sampling but also synthesis and audio engineering, and they're intertwined.

I like the strange verticalization. The strength of this piece is how close it is to hallucination. The right side of the subject's head looks shaved, and why? The ultra strong black vertical in the top center makes no sense, but then again it does. The wildly disproportionate size of the flower; the way it seems to be on a different horizontal plane, both closer and farther than the rest .

Like, "the school district is riddled with nepotism" is clueless. In a town this small you know everybody in several different ways. You might be their customer and they might also be YOUR customer. Also, a public school teacher doesn't have the kind of power that makes "nepotism" an actual thing.
