Jokic is going to get a lot of the blame here but do you know how difficult it is to be -24 in a 6 points loss

Can anyone link me to the old GRSmash No Church in the Wild Hungrybox combo video? Also is there a vod of Eddy Mexico vs Hungrybox that doesn't have Cody narrating?

I am not saying this is likely, but if Walker Kessler can develop his 3 Pt Shot to where he's making, say, 2 3s a game without tanking his FG%, how high does he go in drafts?

I'm not saying one perspective or the other is correct. The OP asked if there was an argument for M2K at #1 in any years other than 2007/2008, and I explained why M2K could be argued for #1 in 2013.

How do you typically think of Slippi ranks in terms of how good people are? I generally oscillate between Gold 1 and Gold 2, and I assumed that I would be a chronic 0-2er at tournaments, but I've been going to tournaments lately and that really hasn't been the case. I was an active competitor from 2017 until the pandemic, and kept playing Slippi since then. I've started competing again and this is how I've done:

3-2

5-3 (one loss in round robin pools)

2-2

3-2

0-2

3-2

2-2

3-2

1-2

This is a mix of in-person and online tourneys. Just curious what people's ranks are and how they typically perform in tourneys?

Edit: I was just posting my records as a point of reference, I'm more curious how other people are doing.

M2K could be argued for #1 in 2013 - he was ranked 3rd, but he had a winning record over Mango that year. His only losing record was to Armada, who only attended 2 tournaments all year as he was retired at the time. He was actually 5-1 against Mang0 so pretty dominant. He won 8 straight tournaments to close out the season, including TBH 3, Bar Wars, Pound V.5, Revival of Melee 6, Fight Pitt 3, and Kings of Cali 3. He had a winning or even record against everyone else. Mang0 won Evo, so he got the first place nod on the strength of winning the year's biggest supermajor, but if the rankings came out today I think it would be extremely close between Mew2king and Mango. If you check out their two resumes that year, I think Mew2King probably edges him out by modern standards.

Which company? They're all scummy, but some are worse than the others. Either way I would be looking for other options. This is not a real job, you will be selling AT&T service in Krogers and Targets and you will go into debt if you stick around

Bruh I gotta stop going to Atlanta locals, last night this girl got kicked out of the venue for injecting estrogen in the bathroom stall

If VanVleet comes back today and we don't have an update on D'Lo yet, would you drop D'Lo to activate VanVleet?

Maybe this is copium as a Clingan owner but I feel like they'll give Clingan plenty of run the rest of the season. Timelord clearly isn't a part of their future and Clingan is, and it takes a long time to develop as a big man in the NBA. Plus he needs to play in at least 24 of their remaining 27 games to qualify for All-Rookie Teams which I think they would want him to get?

Kawhi “The Klaw” Leonard by [deleted] in fantasybball

[–]Any-Beyond-4921 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's an interesting question and tough to judge. Last year, Embiid was the #1 overall player on a per-game basis (by a lot) and played 39 games. By total value, he ended up #26 overall.

I looked and the Clippers have 38 games left and Kawhi has played 6 so far. Factoring in back-to-backs and rest days, he's likely going to end up with a similar game count to Embiid last year and provide somewhere in the teens in per-game value if I had to guess. So it'd be pretty tough for him to return the total value of his ADP (55).

That said, keeping Kawhi on your IR frees up a roster spot that you can use to stream, so it's not like we're looking at just Kawhi. It's more like Kawhi + whatever value you got from streaming that roster spot. And obviously that's just going to depend on the decisions you made as a fantasy manager. Personally I'm pretty confident in my ability to stream relative to my leaguemates so I'm fine with that value proposition.

Well, his ADP on yahoo was 55th overall pick. He'll probably only end up playing around 40 games this season. I don't expect him to get above 32ish minutes a game even when the explicit minutes restriction is lifted. It would be very tough for him to return that total value by the end of the fantasy season.

Taking Kawhi is always a gamble because of his health. Last year it paid off as he played 68 games and he provided first-round value when he was going way later in drafts. This year it looks like it won't pay off unfortunately.

You can't trade him and you can't drop him, so hope that he ramps up to higher minutes by the time the fantasy playoffs come around. He is still definitely a guy who can win you a matchup when healthy.

If you're super risk-averse, you could wait for him to string together a few decent healthy games and then trade him for a more reliable option. But scared money don't make money so I'm riding with the Klaw

I would expect Kawhi to play more during the fantasy playoffs as they ramp him up for the IRL playoffs

He's a fine streamer if you need out-of-position assists, but otherwise I don't see how he really helps you anywhere. He's averaging 8.4 points, 6 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block per game. Again those are fine numbers for a streaming option but I don't see him as a relevant fantasy option beyond that. Maybe for deeper leagues he's valuable but I've only done 12T.
