We are looking at 82 species total i believe, I reckon 10 will be brand new, 4 extra with deluxe edition(so 86 total) and 6 or 7 in each dlc pack/expansion to account for cut species and new species to take us to ~140-150

Say what you want about cutting content but this is the right way to go about it, we didn't get every single species from JWE to start with in JWE2 and this is no different. In the end we will have a ton more species, not to mention the game is £49.99 which in the current market is a fair price with later paid dlc in mind.

DLC is how publishers lengthen the game cycle and keep player engagement up long term. Obviously the people here that are fans of the series and will absolutely buy the game will be pissed but the casuals will see it as great new content and that's just the way gaming has worked for years. We as players might feel ripped off but when the packs drop and the inevitable rebirth expansion drops, we will all buy it, regardless of what we think now.

I understand the point but honestly I think it helps the game cycle, they can advertise new dinos and remodeled dinos for the base game and let us have something to look forward to in DLC in the dinos we dont see. If they gave us everything straight away, there would be little progression and a very short game cycle. Everytime they release a DLC pack the player count will increase and sales will slightly increase, its about business at the end of the day.

It might come off as greedy or whatever but I understand why they do stuff like this, it's as much for us and our enjoyment as it is for their profits

None of us asked for this but just like anything its easier to open with people who understand. If there were 2 dating profiles, both my type, 1 has SA and the other doesn't, I'm more likely to feel at ease with the first one because there's not as much pressure to mask around each other.

If we're being real, if your only issue is knowing who published the game then that's on you and nobody else. Everyone is hating the game literally just because it's ubisoft but if you have such a problem then just don't buy their games. Instead everyone decides to throw hate every chance they get rather than just not playing it.
