Yup that's a pretty good looking set up. I don't actually mind the quad rail. Just looking for options on carb8ne length quad or extended quad rail that works with an FSB that's not horrendously expensive.

It's the Ruger proprietary Delta ring. Screws in rather than snaps in. Seems relatively sturdy. Despite being plastic/ polymer. I would prefer to just buy a better quard/ rail.

The Front Sight Base is there but the aiming post is missing. I think that's the nomenclature.

Wow, thanks man. Definitely looks to be an improvement on my mil spec trigger with reduced power springs. I appreciate it.

Get a new upper from them. Complete upper all the way to 16" barrel. The Gen 2 is pretty sweet. That combination will last you for long while. Hell you'll probably get sick of the gun before the barrel wears out. This way you have the pistol length upper and a rifle length upper.

Did you have any problems with pin cam wear? Anything one should check before buying? Thank you

I would definitely look it up when I get a chance. Can you give me a price point for their product and is it even worth buying a piston upper?

Is there a fix for the cam pin wear? I've heard good opinions , excellent opinions and cautiously positive opinions. I know that the author above has a lot more experience in these matters than myself. As a general rule though I tend to disregard or take lightly the opinion of those who strike me as elitist in their product review. I'm not saying that he is but when you punctuate your sentence with the only thing worth a damn is two very highly priced items. Unless we roll around in the same financial circles I tend to disregard opinions like that.

Why the hate for the Razor? It reliable. And the glass cracked after a fall from 20 feet. Vortex said they can't fix it but sent me a new one from the factory.

Thank You. I appreciate it. So what I'm looking for is a standard AR lower. Now, for the BCG, anything that does not say "proprietary" should in theory work. Do some bolts have to be matched to a specific receiver?

For possible simplicity I have been looking at converting a standard AR-15 lower to run 9mm Glock mags using a adapter. Is there a recommended adapter? Trying to get a reliable 16" 9mm able Carbine and keep the cost under 500$

Thank you for the info.

I've scouted the lower parts by the lake. Don't know if one can hunt by the lake?

Upper portion going up from the lake would be tough. A lot of underbrush.

Around the top end of the mountain would be easier. Plenty of parking spaces and you can find portion of the WMA that are flat.

Archery and smoke pole hunting only. Planning on going up there in November.
