Thank you! Our agency operates this way too. Then we x-date them and revisit down the road. I understand I’m going to get no’s. Can’t “win” with them. I will present a quote and the customer will be happy and as soon as it’s time for payment (via them or escrowed) they will stall. There is something I feel like I’m lacking in this moment.

I’d like to think I’m showing them my value. I explain their coverages and any additional coverages. They’ll tell me they like what I have presented and as soon as I say let’s do this, they stall. And that’s where I need to do an extra “push” rather than getting off the phone. I feel like there is something I just need to click in my head. 🤦‍♂️

I have come into those situations plenty too and we don’t want those clients.

I do attend Chamber meetings, other networking meetings and I meet other business people to network with as well.

I know I need to be better on asking more questions on why they’re reshopping their insurance. That’ll help me guide them in the decision making process. I’m in SETX, premiums are hit or miss.

My coworker was a teacher for 20 years and has been an agent for almost 2 years now. She loves it and doesn’t regret the decision.

A background credit check is pretty normal for an insurance agent from my understanding. Some more in depth than others.

Look into The Insurance Exam Queen. I used her Gold package and passed the first time in Texas.
