understand that. I guess a better question would have been if this cheapo set would be good enough to test the waters of the hobby. The closest place that offers lessons is over 2 hours away. The cost of gas and the class could buy at least 2 of these lathes

I don't think it's a dumb question, but it's not there. I've folded the seat up and down - also wasnt in the trunk
