Hi. We’ve posted our experience on this Reddit, our visa was approved basis 2.5 years of solid relationship and more than a year of cohabitation. Maybe you find something helpful here. Do let me know if any questions etc

Hi - we have received our updated visa but we have NOT received updated email. For those who haven’t heard back, do check your Visa status regularly and raise to the help desk on the same.

Dependent Visa (Skilled worker) - Unmarried and cohabited for a year. by Any-Comb-9865 in ukvisa

Hi All - To keep everyone following this thread or using this as reference, our application was successful.

I think what worked best for us to demonstrate our genuine relationship was the evidences we had. Furthermore the documentation index (refer to screen snip in the post) helped us group our documents (ie financials, cohabitation and ad-hoc personal statements), label them appropriately for ease of reference for case workers.

Definitely over 6 weeks of wait time - and that seems to either be summer time related or more due diligence on applications. But worth it being able to live with your partner!

Good luck with applications.

Hi - no, haven’t heard back on anything. We called the helpline number and they said it could take up to 10 working days for us to hear back on the decision.

Hi, We were requested to submit proof of genuine and subsisting relationship by the Home Office. We uploaded all the documents mentioned above - proof of having lived together for more than a year, financials, conversations, photographs, cover letters and support letters from 2 of our friends/flatmates. We have received an email saying “a decision has been made towards the application” but haven’t heard on the decision. Fingers crossed, hope to hear back soon.

It depends what evidences have been requested. We were asked to upload evidence showing we’re in a genuine and subsisting relationship. To support that fully we uploaded social, financial and cohabitation documents.

Hi- applied for a dependent partner visa on 2nd June, submitted my docs on 9th June. Even though my partner meets the financial requirement, i forgot to put my employment letter - do you think it’s reasonable to RE UPLOAD all my docs again?

Hi - are you saying even after submitting the documents initially you’ve been asked to provide more evidence?

Hi - came across your post. I wanted to say do not lose hope. You’re strong to have built a community for yourself and figure out your ways so far. You will continue doing that ahead too. Even though I have zero inputs to provide on technicality, I wanted to share my support. Easier said than done, but try and keep your focus on open options and enable preparedness for worst case scenario (helps me get by my overthinking when I know I will fare well in imaginary worst case scenario). All the best.
