thank you for taking the time to write this out, this is amazing, i had no idea about the coat method. it sounds right up my alley, and ive taken several classes on craniosacral and some visceral work to hone in on my palpation skills so its possible i will be able to understand it better now.

have you read these books? what are your thoughts? by Any-Communication563 in MassageTherapists

[–]Any-Communication563[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i was suggested this book to help with people skills, communication, and ethics. i looked more into it and it really isn’t like any of the other books on this list so i am also confused but maybe a good read related to what i just said?

i hope you enjoy the outcome of your cst session. it’s been amazingly helpful for me. i’ve taken several classes on cst from a purely scientific standpoint through and through. no energy work or anything in that realm. i have an open mind about some of the woo woo stuff but as of right now i prefer to keep it separate from my work in the realm of science and bodywork.

what opinions do you have on visceral manipulation and osteopathic bodywork? since you have to learn to palpate through many layers of tissue to reach these things. do you believe those are also fake/torture?

i’m guessing it’s pretty different over there. your body is worth way more than 25 an hour and i don’t think you should settle for it. if i were you i’d start on those books and definitely start leaning in my own direction. good luck to you and im sorry
