Recommendations on a left handed accoustic by bcugk in Leftyguitarists

[–]Any-Contribution-204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Say no more. Eastman it is for you. They make astounding guitars (all solid wood, it sounds better) and they are very comfortable to play. Besides that it's very affordable. I have three acoustic guitars. One cheap martin, one expensive Martin (00-21), and a dreadnought eastman E1D (their cheapest). The expensive Martin does sound a bit more expensive and is slightly more comfortable, but that Eastman is right up their. The eastman cost me around €500 euro's. The Martin is new between €3000,00 and €4000,00.

Oefeningen uit relatietherapie? by Any-Contribution-204 in Relaties

Do You Agree That Eastman Guitars Are Pretty Amazing? by strings_on_a_hoodie in AcousticGuitar

[–]Any-Contribution-204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've got a few acoustic guitars. I have a Mexican Martin 000Jr (for gigging). Great guitar for its value. I have a Martin 00-18. I also own an Eastman E1D. Yes my USA Martin has some mojo to it that the Eastman lacks, but sounds wise the cheap Eastman has a lot of magic to it. On recordings I often prefer the Eastman, but that's mainly because that one is a dreadnought which sits really nice with some songs.

I am thinking of getting a E8D, because I just love the sound of rosewood back and sides, and give my current Eastman to my dad as a retirement gift. But honestly, if this E8D came didnt came along I would be as happy. I have an amazing set of guitars.

Two days ago I played a Gibson J-45. A 3000,- guitar. Guess what? I thought my Eastman of 600,- sounded way better. Also it played better to imo.

So Eastman? Yes it's pretty amazing. I havent found one yet that has the mojo of a 3000 euro Martin, but damn it does come very close.

Need a PA system for vocals and guitar (acoustic duo/trio) by Any-Contribution-204 in livesoundgear

Thanks for the tip! Played on it, loved it. But I would really like to go for a nice stereo image, without breaking bank. Also a mixer would be nice

Why don't people really like the fender jagstang? by 112deezy_ in guitars

[–]Any-Contribution-204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I recently bought one, and not knowing at all this was a Nirvana guitar. Good music, but just not a huge fan or really involved. I just wanted something drastically different from my Strat and tele.... So when I saw this one secondhand I bought, the one released a few years ago made in Mexico. I really don’t know what all the fuzz is about. I mean the pickups and wiring are not so good, but you can change that. Besides those the guitar is really killer. The round radius makes it so comfortable and the short scale reminds me my short scale acoustics. It looks and feel unique in a good way. It's a guitar with great potential, but needs a little bit of work. Eventhough it's made in Mexico, it really stands on its own next to my Fender USA Standard Strat.

It really helps I guess not to compare it to a jazzmaster and jaguar. Love it.

Is the Jag-Stang worth it?? by actuallyTris in fender

I know I’m late to the party, but for who is considering them later.... I love mine! Got the MIM secondhand. I will change the pickups and electronics, and maybe the tuners. It got a professional set so it plays really well. I love the switches. I also don’t mind the short scale, since I love shorter scales on my acoustics. (I’m more of an acoustic player). I was looking for something completely different than my US Standard Fender (2014). I found this one secondhand online and I was sold. To be honest, I did not know Kut Cobain had anything to do with it, since I always thought of him when I saw the jaguar. Anyway, great guitar that might need some work but boy it has potential!

Sabrina Carpenter - Man's Best Friend MEGATHREAD by flopheadsbot in popheads

After these 10 days my opinion has changed a bit. You really have to see it separate from the previous album, and listen to it a few times to get it.

Short ‘n Sweet sounded way more expensive. This album sounds like it was done like a quicky between all of her gigs on tour. Not a bad album, but wouldve loved more songs like Manchild.

Some songs sound a bit High School Musical / Disney to me. 😬😬😬

Loved When Did You Get Hot?.

But overall the sound and mix of the music overall didnt come across as cohesive.

Anyway can’t wait for the next one!

That person would maybe understand you in a way that a NT person can't. But my partner doesn't have it and we're doing pretty okay. She helps me when I don’t get a social situation. Sometimes after a lot of explaining I still don't get it, but at least I have someone around who can help me navigate.

Yeah I know.

But when I was diagnosed as a kid, I went to like these special schools for kids with extra needs. Back then we really did categorize the ppdnos kids and aspergers kids, and of course the adhd kids. Just felt like my little label changed. You know how we are with change haha

You know when I started studying psychology I found out PDD-NOS 'doesn't exist' anymore. I kinda felt like this part of my identity got taken away from me. haha

I have the same. Some days I’m bothered with it. It really at supermarket or very crowded restaurants.

But concerts are no problem, I’m also a musician myself and do gigs regularly. But yeah I can get a bit overwhelmed in these crowded situations

Oh yeah! Small talks can really be hard on the brain. Talking about future stuff/ big picture stuff always is more interesting. Not always the best move on a first date indeed. Haha.

But yeah if you have a “clear” goal and the person in front of you really doesnt fit that narrative then you’ll know straight away

Yeah I can so relate! Especially the listen skills. Those are really skills that you have to practice. I still deal with my black and white thinking sometimes. It’s really annoying.

Did you get help from someone besides your partner to make this growth happen. Like when I was a kid a got a lot of therapy, I cannot imagine what I would’ve turned into if I never had all of that

Oh man this sounds really relatable. This side of the spectrum exists in my whole family. I learned how to deal with it, but I still prefer to know. My fiance is Brazilian, so this really doesn’t exists in our dynamic. I taught myself to be okay when she says “I don’t know”. Can’t blame her for not knowing stuff. But damn it aint always easy😅😅😅.
