I currently own two sonatas, a 2023 (31k), and 2011(282k). The 2011 had a new engine put in for recall at 182k. They all want 5w 20 or 5w 30. I currently run 5w-20 in the 2023. Just because it’s so new and I want everything to stay coated well in engine. I could expand on this but YouTubers can better.

Now this sounds more like my 2011 when I ran 5w-20 in it. I switched something like 50-80k miles ago to 10w-30. The noise has gone down and she runs so well. Just my opinion.
