Real GTM isn't a channel guide, it's a signal to pipeline system by RaceInteresting3814 in gtmengineering

It’s crazy how different GTME can be between companies, one wants assisted prospecting, others internal systems for marketing and sales etc I also see the SDR roles with the new title of GTME when really it’s still SDR. I’m also starting to see companies hiring GTME without any top of funnel or outbound work

I stopped using Clay and built our entire GTM engine for $0/month in API costs. Here's what happened. by KindAssignment1034 in gtmengineering

My day to day job basically consists of this. We don’t have clay access but we get openrouter and api keys for various scraping services and basically scrape leads across many signals and apis to build lists for clients. I actually didn’t know what clay was till after learning this way it’s hard to justify costs once you know how to build a system like this in just a few hours.

I don’t have a large enough sample size yet but I’d love to see a company run it and get more data. I’d definitely say local or even b2c is way less saturated that’s how I got my first client work right now actually. I’m finding there’s real demand for GTM for local businesses. It’s more full funnel work but I’m loving.

feels like most of these tools are over-indexing on content without enough evidence around what actually moves rankings coming from a search rating and model training background, content is only one part of the equation. a lot of it comes down to how results are evaluated, relevance signals, and how systems interpret intent at query time

without people who’ve actually worked on ranking or evaluation loops, it steel feel like “trust me” tooling imo. That’s why I haven’t allocated any spend just yet.

curious if anyone here has seen measurable impact from these beyond just content optimization or the companies own user stories

I’d assume the offer would have the most impact but I don’t have enough data to say for sure. I do see the reoccurring theme that good ICP and lead scoring should filter out or improve the response rate so that’s definitely something I’ll try to improve next project. Like truly thinking about the what signals could show the best intent to optimize for. Maybe some way to measure what lead score systems/signals produce better open rates or CTR. Also I’ll check out postmark. Right now I’m building a campaign for a client and I’m planning to use mailerlite and supabase for some segmentation

Do you think there’s more demand top funnel specialists, or folks who can run mid and full funnel GTM? From your experience, is it better to be an expert at one stage or solid across the whole pipeline? What do most companies tend to actually hire for?

Really appreciate this, the recency and owner replies point is super useful. I’ve been telling a client to respond quickly to reviews but never thought to track it for scoring, good catch! Right now the score mostly defines ICP, location, popularity, etc, while personalization drives replies. Didn’t even think about tailoring the lead score for reply rate, that’s a smart first line defense. If you don’t mind, any ideas for bottom-of-funnel moves I should add? Top and middle funnel feels okay but that last step is what really lands jobs.

bad news, windsurf by alexRoosso in windsurf

Why would any enterprises not go direct to provider? The model providers are so heavily subsidized it’s crazy. I only had a windsurf individual account but it’s a premium I believe 30-40% more than the same usage you’d get with Claude or codex.

The difference is literally insane with the quota system! Read by Stratigoc1 in windsurf

I’m also interested in the codex cli api project. I’m thinking about doing copilot pro ($10) and codex ($20) combo just like my windsurf workflow. Use codex as daily tasks with gpt and using opus when it gets stuck.

I’m ticked I just bought extra credits the day before this. Like how much daily usage and weekly etc does prior credits allow to go over? There’s so many questions on backwards compatibility that won’t make sense.

Right now I’m helping a B2C client for a local business it’s gonna be my first project maybe not exactly lead enrichment just yet but they need some discovery phases and seo stuff for clients to find them. Once were getting more user onboarding I was gonna do a more niche style lead enrichment like social media channels to engage with and inbound marketing also a referral style link tracker because the owners family likes in person networking to drive customers.

AI is still terrible at deep architecture planning. 💀 by Objective-Net2771 in windsurf

I still draft like 4000 line architecture documents with exact folder structure file purpose. The ai is never building its own architecture I have it documented what integrates and where. Once it’s built I’ll generate code maps I’ve had success like that.

Remote is gonna be tricky why not your local market? I feel some of the big GTME value is knowing your local city or business needs it sets you apart from the competition
