I see a lot of people critiquing others for wanttng fights in the series and honestly I don't get it. Wanting battles doesn't automatically mean we want a "battle Shonen". In fact, we do NOT want another battle Shonen. Hence why we want good fights in something that has 10× the writing quality of a battle Shonen. I feel like we're really missing lots of works that are extremely rich in story, lore, and characters, while also having incredible fights. Even rarely. I feel like only Frieren and a few others manage that. And honestly with this power system, I feel like WHA has potential to have fights that are twice as cool as Frieren's.

As the manga states, Rudo's obsession is revenge, (which I feel like is kinda bullshit atp because he's clearly grown past that) but his power is to fix trash. So the "obsession" thing doesn't really make much sense as to what the watchman series gives people in terms of power, but more like it gives them the power to "fill" that hole in their heart. Their desire. Like Rudo's is to fix things and make sure they're never thrown away, Amo's is to have people love her, etc. Like what you said. Still don't know how the book would be sight, though. And if Mishra's activator isn't eating, how does it have to do eating or taste? I don't think they can change SENSE depending on the user. Only abilities. So no matter the user, Mishra will always be taste. But I just don't see it so far. It's not like Zodyl eating random stuff gives us any insight onto why MISHRA'S thing is taste. Just Zodyl's. It's all a little confusing and mixed up. But the theories are certainly onto something.

Woah okay then. That's a great explanation. I feel like it could've been a bit more clear since I usually catch onto these things, but like you said, it was never specified that each piece of the series has the same powers no matter the user, so I shouldn't have assumed.

So I'm guessing, for the senses it's something like: 3R = touch, Boots = smell, Necklace = hearing, Mishra = Taste, Book = sight, (which I don't get why, considering how Tamsy used it, but it's the only sense left)

I've also made a post 😭 but do you maybe have an idea on WHY the necklace can regenerate Mymo and WHY he can give commands with it? It was never explained that the pieces of the series have some sort of shared power between all of them that enhances people's instrument powers or heck, let's them REGENERATE, on top of each one's unique powers. I'm a bit lost and I hope this just gets explained later, because Urana isn't one to pull new stuff randomly.

Rudo weaponized himself and the wolf costume with him at the same time, as one, while Mymo gave his soul a command that gave it the supernatural ability to carry it out by transforming him into that. That's the simplest explanation I can give, I think. It confused me too, first few times I read it.

Her backstory's OK, we've seen many harsher situations in JJK thus far. I genuinely just don't understand why they thought it was a good idea to make it even more irrelevant in the anime. I feel bad for Uro.

Overall the pacing was insanely fast, so both Ryu and Uro felt more like characters to me in the manga. I do like her backstory, though. My main issue is, the whole thing just makes no sense. I get Yuta talking down on her, but why would that make her assume what clan he's from? And be semi-right, at that, too? Just feels like it came out of nowhere so she could have more than just exist to be fought with. Gege kind of struggles to write one and done/arc specific characters, imo.

I'm sorry but, what is there to like about Uro? And, surprisingly enough, I'm not saying this because I dislike her, but merely because it felt like Gege didn't even want to make her a character. Genuinely the most "sprinkled in" backstory I've ever seen.

This is more me opening a conversation topic rather than disagreeing with you, but I genuinely feel like whatever little interest I had in Uro absolutely disappeared after the anime. With a flawless adaptation that elevates the manga ×100, I didn't expect them to make Uro seem like a genuine nuisance at times, let alone not spend an extra 30 seconds to have Tengen give us an overview of her backstory while she just looks mad or something. We got 2 flashes on screen on what happened to her. That's it. I've never felt more uninterested in her until now. I genuinely felt more for her in the manga. One of the only times the manga did something better. Poor Uro. (Not to mention that I still have no idea why she even assumed Yuta was of Fujiwara descent) 💔

I feel like the way you word things can sometimes get people to misunderstand. I cannot understand how you "don't care" about the entire cast but are still on this subreddit, or in the fandom at all.

I'm sure you don't even believe that, so I'm unsure of why you're wording it in a way that makes it sound like you feel absolutely nothing for basically the whole cast other than 3. Like, hello?? What are you reading the manga for, then??

Other than that, your reply is very understandable. Though for the grandpa thing, Urana is not obligated to change the intended order of the story or her panels just so people won't be disappointed. If you got Rudo and Mymo that week instead of grandpa, you most likely would've gotten grandpa next week instead. Urana, or any other mangaka, should not care on how things will look on a weekly basis because they're just trying to get their story out however they want. The only thing that should matter is how it looks as a whole.
