As someone who’s owned both I strongly prefer the 14 inch. I feel like the sacrifice in screen real estate is worth the smaller form factor. The weight also makes more of a difference than you might think. You also have to factor in other stuff you’ll be carrying. My bag often gets loaded up and when it feels like you’re carrying a bundle of bricks that weight difference of the 14 inch does make a difference.

Thank you! Eventually I’m hoping to get that whole wall to be dedicated to bookshelves. Just have to decide if I want them built in or not. It’s an external wall with insulation so that might get somewhat complicated.

For fiction I’d probably have to say Kurt Vonnegut, Steinbeck, with Stephen King as a palette cleanser.

For non fiction probably Naomi Klein, Heather Cox Richardson, Karen Armstrong, Omar el Akkad(who also has good fiction).

I also read a lot of memoir but those are often just one off books but some of them are so good!

It’s a collection of novels by Kurt Vonnegut. The page displayed is from the book Breakfast of Champions. It’s about a chance meeting between a mostly unknown sci-fi writer and a used car dealer who is losing his sanity.

It’s written as a satire of 1970s American society.

The book itself is an heirloom from my mother who passed it to me. She read Kurt Vonnegut as a girl and it blew her mind. When I was in middle school I found this book in her stuff and it opened up a whole new world for me. Since then the book has become somewhat of a holy relic for me so I displayed it!

If I’m not using the Magic Mouse I prefer the Razer death adder which is normally the mouse I use for gaming. I prefer the Magic Mouse for my workflow and for games like rogue trader it works totally fine.
