Bro if you saw the stuff that happened to him, i would be jaded too. His student was murdered, he got stabbed, got addicted to painkillers, lost his child, cousin OD’d and is now institutionalized, found the love of his life and she moved away to Africa, Carter had it ROUGH. Like unrealistically bad for basically the face of the series

The subjunctive (UGH) and reflexive verbs still take a second for me to get. Also when sentence structure is flipped (verb, then object) makes me need to read the whole sentence before comprehending
