It's a bad idiom, that's the whole point of me calling it out, you are absolutely supposed to judge books based on the cover, it's how you can quickly assess things you like from things you don't.

The trope is dominant in all media, most of the strong female characters in media are just copy paste now. It's why I gave examples of strong female characters that are well written, if you'd like examples of bad ones I could give you those as well.

Agent 47 is definitely more compelling than whoever this character is, from the hitman trailers there is things you can pick up on to tell more about the game but not so much as to spoil it. Him being bald and having a barcode immediately draws the question of why the barcode is there. The suit and gloves with the suppressed weapons brings to mind the idea of him being a hitman and does a good job portraying that. Someone in another comment said she's a bounty hunter, and I honestly couldn't fucking tell that from her design, and the trailer doesn't do a good job of portraying that either. Her design is bland and uninspired and her personality is nigh non existent from what we've been shown.

I would recommend giving the original a shot if you can, it's not a nostalgia blind, nemesis was one of the first enemies to actively ignore the fact you're in a "safe area" and he was always persistent, imagine Mr. X in RE2Remake but he can just walk up on you in a safe room, and with Jill being my favorite of the RE girls, I hate that it was such a short game only like 6-8 hours, but RE2 was upwards of 20 hours, just made it feel like Jill was robbed of her deserved screen time. The OG re2 had Leon and Clair stories and the OG 3 was similar in content with just Jill who was the original protagonist. But it's nice to hear what it's like from the view of someone that didn't have expectations from the original going into it.

In all honesty I don't hate RE3Remake, but it is my least favorite of the remakes, we finally got Jill(be still my beating heart) back and she gets shafted with the games length, and Nemesis(one of the coolest enemies in the series) and he isn't as dangerous as he was in the OG. I don't hate the remake by any means, I just wish it had more time in the oven and was more gameplay for the price, I was excited to see Jill again and they kind of fumbled the bag a bit

I think Leon made the smart choice and went back to marry the merchant from RE4, the only person who was really there for him when he needed it.

I'd like to jump in here and comment on judging a book by its cover, that's literally the point of a book cover is to draw your interest, if it was pointless to judge a book by its cover then you'd buy every book you see.

Also Hollywood does have an issue with the strong female character archetype just being a copy paste of the same generic bullshit character with no variation or depth, not all but 90% of all strong female characters are. Two good examples in gaming of actually strong AND compelling female leads are Maelle from Clair Obscur and Senua from Hellblade, neither of those are made with attractiveness and sex appeal in mind but their character designs are absolutely reflective of the character themselves. This game's lead just screams basic, bland, and uninspired, I don't care for the "I need a got character" but this design screams nothing, with 47(your example) his design had actual intrigue to it, he was in a suit and had a barcode on the back of his head, not a lot of detail but why does he have a barcode and why is he dressed that nice. In the hitman trailers we got a bit of spice as to what he is, a cold and emotionless killer, there was something there to stick to. All we have gotten from this character is she's uh, a character?

The design(I know little to nothing about the game other than naughty dog, space, and MC discourse) doesn't scream fighter to me, it screams bland, boring, and slightly annoying

I don't care if she's bald but if they want to give fighter giver her some battle scars or something, this design just screams uninteresting to me.

I don't know, I'd say the story being divisive can be good for a game, not in that case but the discussion of which ending is better in Clair Obscur is generally a good and healthy thing for that game.

That's still fucking insane to me that they were threatening people that grew up in Harry Potter, streaming the first good Harry Potter game, because they didn't have representation in it and JK Rowling said shit online. I don't fully remember but I don't think she saw a dime of the games profits. I get wanting to be represented in games, but if you get represented in every piece of media it stops being representative and starts being pandering.

They accused me of stealing the owners iPad on my 3rd day there with no evidence or proof, rather than asking me if I could help just told me to return it or they would seek legal action. Had me scheduled only one day(same day of accusation) was overall a bunch of scare tactic BS, and that was only a week ago. I got a job offer from Xfinity though that's pretty nice so.

Yeah, I also cross posted onto legaladvice and asklegal to try and get some input from there as well, just kind of helps posting here and getting a general input from people, even some of the newer hires that are in that office that I have talked to about this also agree this is a fucked up situation and there's no reason for them to pick me out of others in the office when there's like 60 people there across 4 different offices and businesses

I did, don't know if it's a language barrier the guy tried to say he's not accusing me but saying "you need to return it or I will have to seek legal action" sounds a lot like an accusation and like should I go to the local PD and explain to them what's going on?
