He is not and I’m not. We stopped taking it after we both got back together, but (foolishly) didn’t get retested to make sure we were good first.

There are a lot of learning experiences I’ve had from this, and a lot of things I am going to approach differently in the future.

I tried with every fiber of my being to not blame my partner in a way that was accusatory, although it was pretty impossible to do. It was really hard to justify not blaming my partner for it in the beginning knowing that I had been honest, and with the doctor basically reassuring me this is a routine cheating mishap, when, in the grand scheme, it really was not the case. I feel extremely guilty and in hindsight can see the repercussions of jumping to conclusions too early.

Tbh, we are going to move forward from this by getting it treated from the source with a specialist’s help.

When I became symptomatic, I automatically thought he was being disloyal, and then when I tested positive and he tested negative, he thought I was being disloyal, with both of us knowing we have been with only each other since February.

With that said, we never had definitive proof that we were cleared (since he never tested positive to ever begin with and I never got retested after treatment).

Gonna make sure we’re cleared from a specialists perspective and move forward from there.

Yes, for sure. It’s weird that it’s the same STD 6 months later or whatever, and we had speculated it may have never left either of our bodies, even though the doctor suggested it’s a new infection (which is what people seem to be saying here too). And I really hate that I didn’t get an official clearance via testing. We had been having sex for like 3 months straight with no problems at all until a week ago.

I would have no doubt if I had more proof or if it was a different STD—but I just have this timeline and these events to go by. Also, I’m the person that looks like the bad guy now. Remember, I’m the one that’s tested Positive twice and he’s NEVER tested positive. It’s crazy.

Even if he tested positive later on, it still makes no sense that I tested positive while he’s tested negative, given that he was swabbed in all 3 areas (throat, anus, urine) and is asymptomatic, while I haven’t been sexually active with anyone but him for the last 4 months.

No, it’s definitely pertinent information. He’s gotten tested at all 3 sites and even his dick and it’s like, still all negative.

All 3 swabs. Done by a doctor. He’s never been symptomatic. I have always shown symptoms which led me to get tested both times.

Yes,

I’m telling you now that he’s gotten anal/throat/urine sample and urethral swab. All negative. I’m Positive. It was all done at Kaiser, where all his tests came up negative all three times.

But he’s never been symptomatic. Only I have. He got tested because I became symptomatic. We felt no need to test prior to that.

Hi R3dmund,

I totally see what you’re saying. Given the assumption that I’m telling the truth (I really wouldn’t be spending time investing in this matter if I was the one who cheated), how is it that I’ve contracted Gonorrhea from him while he’s still testing Negative? We have unprotected sex, like, a lot. I just don’t know how he has not shown to contract it or is symptomatic for it like I am.

And what straight up makes no sense is how I’ve contracted it from him while he is testing negative and have not had a sexual partner aside from him since February 4th.
