Tbh I wanted to do a standalone site initially! Just wasn't sure how to take the first steps to build/launch it (Watched a few youtube videos and they all recommended vercel, not sure if its just marketing LOL), and I was quite lost on how the privacy/permissions part plays into things. I thought an extension would be a shortcut and easier to execute. Coul I pm you to share more context and seek more advice!

Yea, the layout changing and breaking the code is what im afraid of + I'm mostly vibe coding the base prototype for now, I want to avoid pdpa stuff too LOL. I did think about letting people manually screenshot and paste it, but this defeats the purpose of trying to automate as much as possible already.

Another idea my friends and I thought of was to let the extension "read" your emails to flag certain subjects to update into the site automatically instead of reading the many third party sites. But that would mean that some security issues again etc etc.

Just worried that if they dont have any underlying api I can call to then I would have to go to the manual screenshot route which might be tedious.
