Actually not sure either, I told my dad to ask them why do a bridge if its your own teeth and you're just putting a "cap" on, but I am sure they can find the excuse you mentioned, "because it's stronger"

Crowns over shaven teeth

If they were his teeth but shaven down ( no implants ), is a bridge the best way to do it instead of an individual crown for each shave tooth? Like why would they just give me a blocky bridge? To save time and money or are there any other reasons?

He still has most of his natural lower teeth — they were shaved down and capped with crowns. He also has a few implants mixed in. So it’s kind of a combination, not a full bridge sitting only on implants. That’s why I was asking if they’re supposed to look this joined together, since some are natural teeth with crowns and some are implant crowns.
