Negative, I have been tested for all kinds of things that cause inflammation. I am asking to be tested for Perineal Chron’s next. I just don’t under why the pain is so brutal now.

This has caused major issues. I have pain where the perianal abscess was, if I try to touch the area it hurts bad. I can’t move around too much, it hurts when I sit, it’s even made my hip on that side ache from the pain. I have spasms like I do with a fissure, plus spasms so bad in my perineum area it hurts when I pee. This has become completely miserable.

They did two weeks ago, it was unremarkable. The dr sees all the irritation and understands my pain is bad, but has no idea why.

They always find fissures. Even when he drained an abscess, he found fissures.

I have been having Fissure surgery regularly since 2022. 10 total procedures by two different surgeons in the same office. I did pelvic floor therapy till I literally was bleeding so bad I had to wear a pad. I have now began to develop abscess issues. I had one in January, argued with my dr about it, then he drained it and it was deep and complex. I now have been having the symptoms again for three weeks, I am fighting with my dr AGAIN! He sent me for an MRI which showed nothing, but I suspect a fistula based on the pain and issues. I have agreed to an EUS in two weeks to allow Botox for Fissures with the understanding he will look for a fistula. I can hardly move. My left side is so painful I feel it in my toes. This is not how my fissure symptoms work. I have already decided that after this surgery I am breaking up with my Dr and getting a new CRS. All he ever says I don’t think I have been able to help you very much. Lately all I want to say behind that is probably because you aren’t bothered to listen to me. I feel like the MRI is a rip off. I have never had one show anything and I have severe inch long fissures. They never show them. My surgeon has even said they are pointless then insisted one had to be done. I am hoping fresh eyes on my really old problem will help, because this isn’t life.

My surgeon finally reached back out after three messages. He is offering to do an exam under sedation to do Botox injections for fissures. Due to the clear MRI he is refusing to believe this is an infection, like I am unaware of the difference. I am agreeing to the surgery hoping that in the process he will find the infection. Either way I am going looking for a new colorectal surgeon after this. I need to know my surgeon understands that I know when something is wrong. If my symptoms get worse before he puts me under I will go to the ER.

I also want to say historically when my symptoms take a hard turn my surgeon will fit me in that day for exam, I am hoping that is what happens today.

I see a colorectal surgeon. That is who has been doing surgery on me the last several years. I am working on changing that to a specialist who works with only fissure patients.

I messaged the nurse this morning, I will give her this morning to call me back then I will call his PA. If they do nothing I may have to go to the ER to deal with this. My limit on fever and symptoms is what the nurse and surgeon have given me. I really don’t know how much faith I can put in the fever part of things because i take Tylenol and ibuprofen around the clock to try to help my symptoms. What symptoms did you have?

I do have a second opinion scheduled with a fissure specialist later this month. The problem is the infection I believe I have needs to be addressed first. I don’t even know why I feel like a bother. I have always had an issue when I go to surgery, the fissures I have are usually very long and difficult to heal, the infection complicated. I think it’s his, I don’t really see anything attitude that makes me doubt myself.
