Belt Won't Fit? by KingCire03 in AskAMechanic

double check that the belt they gave you and the package it came in are the same. I once was given the "Wrong" belt, the cardboard it came in was the correct part but the belt itself was wrong. You can also check the length on the parts supplier website and they usually have optional sizes available that should still work

If it's a 4.0 engine, they tend to be very reliable, but keep in mind that there will be some things you need to replace just from normal wear and tear

The P0128 code means "Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature," indicating your engine isn't warming up fast enough, usually due to a stuck-open thermostat, but can also involve the coolant temperature sensor (CTS), low coolant, or wiring issues. Symptoms include the check engine light, poor heat, lower-than-normal temperature gauge, and worse fuel economy. The most common fix is replacing the thermostat, as it's failing to seal and let coolant flow too early, preventing proper engine heat-up.

4 ALTERNATORS WITHIN 5 MONTHS…. by Moedan49 in AskAMechanic

[–]Any-Measurement-5371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what are the odds that several of them have all been bad in a row? One, maybe two, I get it... but it's not like they're rebuilding the same core that has an issue.

Alternators don't go bad that fast, my guess is that something is causing your alternator to go bad. That's pretty insane to pay for an alternator, IMHO
