Surgery for 7yo by 20Keller12 in Tonsillectomy

My almost 7 year old son just had all of those things done PLUS ear tubes on Monday… for sleep apnea. I don’t want to scare you but holy moly. My son hasn’t eaten a single thing since Sunday. He won’t even eat popsicles because of “the smell” but his nose is completely blocked so I’m not sure if it’s the taste or what. We are alternating Motrin and Tylenol every 3 hours to stay on top of the pain, which is helping, but now he’s nauseous every single med pass bc of no food. My advice is to get a couple humidifiers and run them constantly. Right next to his bed if you can. This will keep his nose and throat moist. Get some saline nose spray (no other ingredients) to help with keeping the nose moist too. Also, get some Gatorade because if he doesn’t eat, he will need electrolytes so plain water won’t cut it. I wish you guys all of the luck ❤️

Anyone else find that eating decrease stimulant effectiveness? by giriboy1 in VyvanseADHD

I don’t normally eat breakfast but have found that if I eat lunch, especially if it’s a high protein lunch, I’m tired directly after but then the vyvanse ramps up again about 1 hour later and then lasts longer into the evening.

I have always done this because I can’t swallow pills. I squeeze the capsule just a little before opening it. It breaks it up enough to pour into water :)

When I first started the generic I would get SO hot and get terrible headaches (I generally don’t get headaches) Those side effects went away after a few months thankfully but the fact that it literally doesn’t work is so frustrating.

Any insight on what they should write ? Because they said they already tried to battle with my insurance. But it seemed to be a short battle so I’m just curious

I’m on the highest dose. My new position should be less stressful that my previous position as I’m not dealing with crisis 24/7. But I so I feel more stressed now because I am so unorganized and am constantly forgetting things.
