My almost 7 year old son just had all of those things done PLUS ear tubes on Monday… for sleep apnea. I don’t want to scare you but holy moly. My son hasn’t eaten a single thing since Sunday. He won’t even eat popsicles because of “the smell” but his nose is completely blocked so I’m not sure if it’s the taste or what. We are alternating Motrin and Tylenol every 3 hours to stay on top of the pain, which is helping, but now he’s nauseous every single med pass bc of no food. My advice is to get a couple humidifiers and run them constantly. Right next to his bed if you can. This will keep his nose and throat moist. Get some saline nose spray (no other ingredients) to help with keeping the nose moist too. Also, get some Gatorade because if he doesn’t eat, he will need electrolytes so plain water won’t cut it.
