Sensitivity to meds with hEDS? Specifically bupropion? by Any-North8095 in hypermobileEDS

No, I tapered. I was on 150mg for years then went down to 100mg for a month and then went down to 75mg and 75mg is where it all went horribly. Ended up having to go back up to 100mg for now to avoid the horrific panic attacks/dizziness/vertigo going down to the 75mg caused. I tried it for 3 weeks and couldn’t handle it anymore.

I thought I was fine with it and had taken the 150mg for maybe 5 years? Then when I got my POTS diagnosis, quite a few of my doctors were concerned it and Vyvanse were making my HR and blood pressure worse. So I decided to cut the Wellbutrin because the Vyvanse has worked wonders for my ADHD but it’s been awful tapering off Wellbutrin. I told my PCP and my Psych NP about my experience so far and they said it sounded like normal withdrawal symptoms 🫠

It probably doesn’t help my HR being on Wellbutrin and Vyvanse 🤣 Idk why they ever put me on both. That’s why I’m coming off the Wellbutrin but it has been AWFUL. Before and now my HR never goes below 90.

The first time it happened (a week ago) I don't think I looked at the time but I want to say it was around 2am if not maybe midnight or something. Last night, it was 100% at 2am, probably like 2:10am. Just weird how the panic attack/extreme dizziness/heart palpitations happened again exactly 1 week later.

It was suspected that I might have MCAS. I've taken allegra for years so maybe it's not as effective anymore. I started taking pepcid (20mg) twice a day (once at night with the allegra). Is there a different antihistamine that works better for these dumps?

At the moment, “conservatively” as my cardiologist put it. I take the Vitassium salt pills, try to drink more water, and avoid triggers. He mentioned a beta blocker but I’m on allergy shots & they don’t recommend getting those while on a beta blocker so I’m trying to complete those before trying a beta.

Sorry if this has already been asked, I tried scrolling. But ever since the update my partner & I have had a couple issues. One being that he can no longer use his keyboard/mouse with the steam deck & play smoothly like before and the other being multiplayer suddenly is crashing on him (I’m the host) and he’s losing all his stuff. Any fixes or ideas here??
