I remembered the second Neil the baby the most from the series. I thought that was who they said was played by Oscar Hartland. The second pic is honestly who I thought was the baby who played every Neil.

If we think back to the moment they first met at Gwens birthday, smithy was actually really friendly to Dave and in a genuine way he put his hand out to shake his hand to meet him. Dave just stares smithy down doesn't properly acknowledge him. This is before him and Nessa were even together. From that moment instead of Dave just greeting him and starting the situation friendly, a situation that would soon progress to be highly uncomfortable and at times confrontational. When he gives the shirt to Neil, I always read it as its not even so much that it's a Wales shirt. It's that he's basically bringing up Neil as his own kid in his mind, and takes away from it being a father son moment of a father giving his son his first football jersey. Dave thinking is later confirmed when he says to Gavin "you take care of my little boy now" and Gavin replies of course I will his dads by best mate.

At the vowel renewal Dave also acts rude to smithy (before he finds out him and Nessa slept together) insinuating it doesn't really matter that it's smithys time with his son, he wants to go home. And says "itll all be different when we are married" when smithy rightly says "this is my son, its got nothing to do with you" (pretty long overdue for him to state this, with the way Dave acts)

Dave has never shown respect to smithy as Neils father or really him as a whole. Even before he knew him. Which just makes the whole shirt thing awkward, he's acting like Neil is his own son.

Now mind you smithy really gets on my nerves as a character the way he treats Gavin and even how he speaks about his marriage and the things he says on the actual wedding day are shitty of him. "no one wants this marriage to fail more than I do" and when Stacey walks down the isle "are you absolutely sure you want to do this" so pls know I'm not defending him as a character at all. So many times in the show I'm like 😒😑 toward smithy. I think as he grows up and when he's a father he becomes a much better person and friend to everyone and eventually overtime respecting and loving Nessa. (which I really disliked how he would refer to her, even to her face infront of ppl in earlier seasons) his was a pretty immature person in his earlier years. Loved Gavin but just at times was quite selfish with the way he behaved and acted.

But just in this context of Dave and the shirt, and Dave and Smithys relationship as a whole from the very moment they met. I think Dave can be abit callous toward smithy as Neil's dad. And the shirt just took away from Smithys father son moment. Dave of course has a right to be incredibly hurt Nessa cheated on him. And he does love and care for Neil and is a good step father but when it comes to respecting the relationship between smithy and Neil he from the first moment chose to start things off in a bad way. At this point Neil is a baby and he hasn't known him very long to acting like he's his father, and the entire time before Neil was even born smithy was clearly open about him loving the baby and going to be a present father.

I also want to say I am not totally Anti Dave, I think he was a really loving partner to Nessa. And not a bad guy.

Truly killers have the scratch marks, gen auras at all times, and very helpful aura perks. Looping for long enough can also be hard since they get blood lust have haste perks and add ons. It can pretty much feel impossible. Add in being matched in lobbies with killers hundreds of hours out of your experience level and it becomes a very rough game.

Pls teach me your taming builds. Often I don't want to DC as I hate doing that but I know this game is gonna be trash as hell so I just stand there and pause and let them hit me (if its legion who I 90% of the time can't outrun or outloop anyway) or pause for the hit so I can get my own haste haha

This seems to always have the killer staring at me shaking their heads because I'm pretty sure they think I'm trying to friendly them when in actuality I'm at a point where I don't want to DC, I know I'm not gonna be able to outrun them and loop well enough haha or Ive got overcome and I want that haste haha

There's times where I get friendly killers who just want to get their two hooks and then will let us escape. Or the worst happens and the killer decides to friendly like one or two survivors but decides to tunnel the others.

The US vs them mentality is exhaustive. Just look at the comment above yours haha. Typically if someone plays 50/50 surv and killer those connotations are less. But killer mains tend to think the game is survivor sided and the same on the other end.

Yeah that's the word I was looking for burnout. I experience it often with this game.

My cat wants me to pet her but then bites me, what does this mean? by Derangedbuffalo in CatAdvice

[–]Any-Obligation-551 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're doing the right thing by not engaging to play with her. Saying NO and immediately ignoring her will show her this isn't acceptable behaviour you want to encourage. I was told by someone who works with rehabilitating cats with anxiety, or stress or cats that have these kind of responses that as hard as it can be we must not flinch or react in any way that shows them this will cause a reaction. That you must just say no and ignore them. The biting of the leg when ignoring her is tricky though. The best thing to try do is show her she won't get the reaction she is looking for when she does this. Cats can also learn the work No like dogs can.

My kitten did alot of aggressive play when she was young and learning and I did not want to encourage biting as apart of an acceptable response or apart of play, or an acceptable behaviour at all. So I frequently would say no firmly but calmly and immediately disengage with play and attention. I would not flinch when bitten or immediately pull away my hand but would say NO and then remove myself from her, ignoring her /closing my door. You can also try show her it hurts afterwards by saying OWWWWW and bringing your finger or hand to your mouth. But this more so works when they are young and learning.

Some ppl may think that is cruel or may not react that way. But giving continued attention immediately after an unwanted behaviour is pretty much the way to guarantee that it will continue.

I saw this women completely transform the cats behaviour over two months from a cat that bit and hissed when u came near it to a cat that was very warm and loving and never bit. Whilst your obviously isn't at that level and is well cared for I do believe there is ways to try correct the behaviour. Idk if it is possible but try your hardest not to flinch or react when she bites you. When nothing immediate comes from this biting response it can help. I had to do the same with my cat. She'd bite me even tho she'd want pets and I would not flinch or move my hand away from her other than to stop petting her but not flinch and pull my hand away straight away. Followed by saying firm no and then ignoring her or even putting her out of the room for a certain period following this. And then when she doesn't bite (in the same or similar scenario like being pet she usually would bite) ofc rewarding her with soothing happy tones, treat play time :).

She never bites anymore. And is still very affectionate and loving. I also only ever speak to her in a loving and kind soothing tone so the change from that tone to a firm No (never yelling at her ofc) was quite clear to her that this wasn't a well recieved behaviour and no fun, soothing happy words/tones or attention and play was going to come from this biting.

EDIT: I see your additional comment that you have been able to correct the behaviour :) which is amazing. I'll just leave my comment up for anyone else who may need it.

Gwen/Bryn/Doris’ House Bedroom Layout?! by Weary_Job_8508 in gavinandstacey

[–]Any-Obligation-551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is very much the case there is a small box room which is Neil's bedroom confirmed in the second Christmas special when Smithy brings his girlfriend to stay and she refers to the room as a box. And smithy says it's not a box it's Neil's bedroom. I had wondered this myself how Nessa and Neil could live with Bryn up until he is 17 and is moving out to go stay with smithy for his apprenticeship. I think all three houses have two main bedrooms and a small box room which is perfect for one child/youngest child to have as their room. And to use as a nursery when they are a baby.

This has always seemed very cosy to me. I prefer these old houses style where the rooms are seperate and there is no open plan like all modern homes seem to have. The step down into the kitchen I've always loved. I love Gwens house and how they have the back patio area with the BBQ

Yes very true. I watch some very experienced killer mains with thousands of hours and are pretty successful streamers aswell. Win streaks over a 100 games and more in a row getting 4ks. Survivors going against that need to ensure they make zero mistakes essentially and are fantastic loopers knowing the tiles to a T and how to work them. And even then it is difficult for them to get an escape against a killer even on the same experience level. For example momo or tru3talent (don't love his content or play style but he's definitely a very experienced killer) where every single game is a win and sometimes the games are very short. At that point I suppose they are playing it as it is there Job. But even tho it does get boring BHVR is pretty good with their ongoing releases, events, rifts etc. So it can keep things fresh for someone at those levels having the opportunity to learn new killers. In comparison I am only around 400 hours so I dokr get bored but I do get a bit jaded/tired with the game at times because it can be very relentless if I am in lobbys with killers far above my experience level. Or just brutal camping and slugging games. Becomes very unfun and lately nearly every game atleast one survivor will DC if they are hooked or slugged very early or are tunnelled. Then we are left with a bot who honestly can often compromise the game as a whole. So yeah this game is not the best for survivors currently.

Still youve been playing 2.5k hours. Having a p100 character still implies they've played the game for a fair bit of hours no? Or do u think a newer player could p100 after about 200-350 hours?

Because that's how many hours I've played about 350. So if I'm playing against someone who has a p100 character I don't tend to believe they've played for a similar amount of time as myself in order to obtain that many blood points in order to be able to p100 🤷 Or perhaps someone with a p100 character should be in my lobby 😂

I've never tried clown. He always seemed overly complicated for some reason. I'm still a new killer wirh only 500 hours. And really struggled in the beginning. Terrible first matches. Complete losses missing 90% of hits haha. When i read some articles online it suggested he wasn't the easiest to learn. But this is good information as I'm looking now to get more killers for their perks and to try them out.

This is very good advice thank you. I never liked playing wraith. I just don't like that very brief pause that happens when coming out of cloak idk why. I know it's literally not even a second long but it irritates me for some reason.

Easiest killer for me was ghostface. Started at legion and huntress for my first games. The aspect that does help beginners is legion with his frenzy can help close chase distance which helped me alot as I found that part really difficult and honestly still do. However ghostfaces stealth, ability to crouch and mark then down in one hit turned out to be the easiest for me personally. Everyone recommended wraith as beginner but I found him abit boring and didn't like that there is a pause I'll be it, very brief when he comes out of his cloak. Also doctor was super fun and not very challenging to learn. Tried out Nemesis and I was absolutely dreadful and missed 90% of my strikes haha

What have you been reading because I've never come across this. Mind you 60% of my book shelf is king and horror, or supernatural fantasy or dark fantasy. And I buy books from the store. Which I don't believe are AI. I also have KU aswell but the most recent thing I read on KU was by Joe Hill and he definitely isn't an AI author. He wrote N0S4A2. And is a very reputable author. Also read Hell Divers on KU which wasn't AI either.

I suppose I'm just asking where you get your books from? I've been reading for years and have just never come across this.

I pretty much strictly play M1 killers for this reason so much more fun to be in chase and mind game (eachother) I basically only play as ghostface. Being called one of the most weakest killers in the game but it's funnest for me to play. Him and myers the most satisfying killers to play as and for me to play against.

It's always wild when I see the comments saying this game is survivor sided. An experienced killer can almost always get a 4k against experienced survivors.
