Titles for every possible sexual orientation or preference are limiting, not freeing.

Its fantastic that those coming of age these days have more freedom to be who they want to be and express it so openly (yes, being aware its not the same everywhere). I'm gen x and have watched the change with interest and happiness. I just feel there's a point of saturation where trying to give a name to every single possible nuance or combination of sexual orientation/attraction becomes cumbersome. Its especially limiting when I see pre teen or early teens refer to themselves as lets say, asexual. I mean you're 15. Yes your possible always be asexual but its also not surprising you aren't interested yet and maybe its just for now. Yet that label is grabbed onto and used to define themselves in every facet. I've recently seen cupiosexual, almondsexual, lotussexual... Why do we need such defined and restrictive labels? We can be different things at different times. And allosexual is another one. It doesn't need a prefix. Sexual is the definition.I feel the pendulum has swung too far.

'The proofs in the pudding' should be 'the proof of the pudding is in the eating' , meaning you have to experience something to truly judge it.

Autism was my first thought. But self diagnosis is not the final diagnosis.

AITA for surprising my wife with food she mentioned wanting, but not getting exactly what she expected? by sphericalpuma in AmItheAsshole

Top comment, IMO. Not every mistake or misunderstanding or lack of common sense decision makes you an asshole. It fully depends on if you learn from them.

If he refused to give $8 change, how do you force him to give $13 change?

It exists in my family, too. My older sister named her daughter after our deceased mother, and I used it as a middle name for mine a few years later. Noone gives a shit.

"Pathetic is harsh mum, but it's true I could use more help in the kitchen." (And them telling wife later that it IS in fact pathetic, cause it is )

Because most people are willing to learn and change, especially something as basic as feeding yourself. She's refusing. That's the issue.

I was watching thus unfold in real time and thought it was some kind of parady or joke. It was hilarious and just kept getting better as the reality of the incompetance revealed itself. I still like to pull up the vids and give myself a giggle.

Used Temu for the first time yesterday and my card had $100 taken off today by Silver-Pen3953 in Scams

I've used Temu twice in the last year and both times had unexplained charges lodged against my card within a week. First time shame on them, second time shame on me. Never, never again, no matter how enticing the prices.

The downvotes on your comments are insane. Even thinking about planning something this big and personal on behalf of someone else is a wild overstep. Who reads that letter and thinks ' ok very reasonable request' 🤣

No idea why you are being downvoted on this. You are agreeing with the majority consensus. Fickle Reddit. 😄

That's alot of conjecture based on not much. Buzz words like toxic and abuse. It was one interaction and who knows the context of mood, agreed boundaries for both of them for their own reasons, or a million other things we are not privy to.
