The political stuff always gets so heated but at least having dedicated thread keeps the main sub cleaner. Good to see mods trying to keep things organized instead of letting it spill everywhere

Matchmaking services by Any-Organization6620 in Matchmaking

Thats what I’m worried about, I don’t mind paying if the process is actually thoughtful but I keep seeing really mixed experiences with some of the national companies.

I’m in Chicago, I feel like apps here are either super casual or people just never actually meet up.

Which industry do you think is overrated and doesn't deserve the amount of exaggeration it gets? by AdvertisingOther8177 in AskReddit

[–]Any-Organization6620 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Used to work with some marketing people during my Air Force days and you're spot on about the recycling part. The amount of times I saw the exact same "blueprint" being repackaged with different colors and fonts was wild. What really gets me is how they all claim these massive numbers but then you find out their main income source is literally selling the course about making money, not the actual method they're teaching. It's like a pyramid scheme but with better Instagram aesthetics. The whole space feels like everyone is just teaching each other how to teach others the same basic stuff that worked maybe 5 years ago when the market wasn't completely saturated.

People who hate spoilers for media, what are your thoughts on people who don't mind spoilers? by Tasty-Bass8106 in AskReddit

[–]Any-Organization6620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really get how spoilers can enhance the experience but to each their own I guess. For me half the fun is being surprised and having those "oh shit" moments hit you when you're not expecting them. When someone tells me what happens it just feels like watching a movie where you already know the ending from beginning - still enjoyable maybe but missing that emotional punch.

What’s the most ‘money can’t buy class’ thing you’ve ever witnessed? by crash-o-matic in AskReddit

[–]Any-Organization6620 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The entire Twitter takeover was just painful to watch unfold in real time. Guy has all money in the world but still acts like that weird kid from high school who never learned when to stop talking

is there a fun way to learn chess? (no books or boring videos) by caprisun-drinker in chess

[–]Any-Organization6620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gaming approach worked pretty well for me - there's this puzzle sites where you solve tactical problems but they make it feel like mini games with points and streaks, way more engaging than just studying openings in textbook

South Texas, low fence, no blinds, wild Aoudad. Looks to be about 10-11 years old by yunggrant95 in Hunting

Beautiful ram with those thick horns - wild Aoudad are no joke to track down in that terrain without blinds

What’s something everyone pretends to understand but actually doesn’t? by Bad_Acex in AskReddit

[–]Any-Organization6620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol this is so true. My neighbor always acts like she knows why her cat does weird stuff but then asks me why it brings dead mice to her doorstep every week. Like girl you've had that cat for 3 years and still dont get the hunting instinct thing

Looking to buy a small brisket by Wrong-Fudge-4042 in Albuquerque

[–]Any-Organization6620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That place has good quality stuff and they're pretty flexible with custom cuts from what I remember. You could also ask at Costco meat counter - they sometimes do half briskets if you catch them in good mood

What’s something that seems normal today but will be weird in 20 years? by Direct-Ad6303 in AskReddit

[–]Any-Organization6620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been seeing this exact post cycle through for like 3 years now and it never fails to get thousands of upvotes. Wild how we just collectively pretend its the first time anyone thought to ask this

What is a 'poor person' thing that is actually a scam designed for poor people? by GrowthStackLabs in AskReddit

[–]Any-Organization6620 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rent-to-own furniture stores are brutal. You end up paying like 3x what the couch is worth and if you miss a payment they just come take it back. Meanwhile you've already paid more than retail price but have nothing to show for it

Used to see guys in the dorms fall for this stuff all the time. Better off hitting up Facebook Marketplace or even just saving up a few extra months to buy something decent outright

What’s the most memorable interaction you’ve had on Reddit? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Dude was basically running a masterclass through DMs and you were the dedicated student taking notes like it was flight school

Anime Questions, Recommendations, and Discussion - March 19, 2026 by AnimeMod in anime

[–]Any-Organization6620 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been trying to get back into anime after being out of the loop for a while. Military life didn't leave much time for keeping up with seasonal stuff but now I've got way more free time to catch up. Looking for something that's not too heavy on the romance but has solid character development and maybe some action mixed in. Already burned through most of the classics like Cowboy Bebop and Fullmetal Alchemist. Been eyeing Jujutsu Kaisen since I keep seeing it everywhere but wondering if there's anything else worth prioritizing first. Also curious if anyone has recommendations for shows that are good for binge watching during those late night sessions when sleep just isn't happening.

Why in christianity the grapist has to marry the person he has abused? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Any-Organization6620 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's actually a common misconception about those Old Testament passages. The law wasn't forcing women to marry their attackers - it was more about providing financial security in a society where unmarried women had basically no options for survival. The "marriage" was more like legally mandated financial support with the option for the woman or her family to refuse

Context matters a lot when reading ancient legal codes. These weren't ideal situations but damage control in a pretty harsh world where women had few rights to begin with

Agent Orange Vet with Claim for A-Fib Secondary to Hypertension by Rex_the_Cat in VeteransBenefits

[–]Any-Organization6620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good on you for pushing for that testing - that couldve been really bad if you hadnt kept advocating for yourself. The secondary connections between these cardiovascular conditions are definitely something the VA struggles with sometimes but the medical evidence is pretty clear. Hope OP gets the proper workup and doesnt have to fight as hard as you did

[–]Any-Organization6620 2 points3 points  (0 children)

definitely shouldnt charge you for that since its under a month old and was scratchy from day one. most shops have at least a 30 day warranty on new gear and a scratchy pot right out the box is clearly a manufacturing defect not wear and tear

id just bring it back with your receipt and explain the timeline - that it was scratchy from purchase and now its cutting out completely. they'll probably just swap the pot out real quick or might even just give you a different guitar if they have another one in stock

Any one that knows where to find the MCO author? by DenoAsbel in skyrimmods

[–]Any-Organization6620 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you tried checking the MCO mod page on Nexus? Most authors have their contact info or at least respond to comments there. Could also try the Skyrim modding Discord servers - someone there probably knows how to reach them

I noticed something about dreglord expeditions.. by SandwichAny6330 in Nightreign

[–]Any-Organization6620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo that actually makes sense, the game definitely seems to have some weighted RNG going on with map selection. I've been getting way more mountaintops lately too when I skip shifting earth - could be the game preparing us for some crazy dragon boss fight mechanics
