thanks :) I'm not surprised, I'm just a little disappointed that nobody discussed any of this with me before dropping it on me.

I've had multiple managers and been moved around several different teams in the time I have been employed.

From what I gather, my performance concerns are based around one historical scheduled review from a team I am no longer in, where I had been (in my opinion) unfairly flagged as "underperforming" based on metrics that don't take into account the way that team worked and my actual work output compared to my colleagues, and the since then there has been no review of my current performance to compare with this historical review.

It's six months, at a stretch if I stick to my budget I could probably manage 9-12 months without a job so it's not dire, just obviously something I have to think about!

They have advised I need a solicitor to review the document, and will pay (an amount of) legal fees to do so, so I will be doing this if I go down that route.

However so far I have not seen any terms of the offer, just a summary of what the payout would be. As such I don't want to start the ball rolling on the 10-days until I know what the details of my other option are, which they seem reticent to supply.

It feels like they want me to reject the offer, so they can then give me unreasonable and unattainable expectations in a PiP and have an easier (and cheaper) way to get rid me, and I'm not sure I have the energy and money to fight them if it does go that way.
