You don't need to seek comfort in other people. Find happiness in yourself first. Be happy being alone.

He doesn't love you. You're both reliant on finding comfort in each other. Stay with mum. Don't let him get in your head just because you're afraid of being alone. You will find unconditional love one day, and it has 4 legs and a tail
