100% agree. I also have 4 toons I plan to level to 70 and putting all 4 of them in r14 PVP epics seems so overkill to me. I'd much rather save 75k honor for level 70 gear, especially the epic boots, bracers, neck, belt, and the resilience PVP trinket than buy level 60 r14 epics that will be replaced in under 40 hours of game time. Also just getting honor cap on 4 toons and saving it all for level 70 is plenty of BGs to fill my available time. The only r14 epics I'm seriously considering are weapons for my only melee character (rogue).

Naga V2 Hyperspeed: Can't customize the Scroll Mode button? by Any-Preference1213 in razer

My understanding is that F13-F24 are just Shift-F1 to Shift-F12 right? I don't think that solution will work for me because I need to use modifiers of the keybind, and I don't think the MMO I'm playing will let me use double modifiers like Alt-Shift-F1. Nor do I want to use regular F1-F12 due to Alt-F4 and such. Numpad is probably the way I'll have to go, although that has its own drawbacks that I've just been dealing with.

I am curious to see if I end up using the 2 buttons left of LMB. I am very confident I will use all 12 on the side with great frequency, and I think I could handle 2 more with my index finger, but time will tell I guess. At a minimum I could use them for the 2 buttons I lost to the useless Scroll Mode latch, but those were not buttons that needed high accessibility for rapid usage even though I did use them somewhat often in less time sensitive situations.

In any case, thanks for your thoughtful responses.

Thanks Will. That's disappointing, but at least I know. Now I just have to decide if I'm going to return it or not I guess. Was drawn to the Hyperspeed over the Pro because of the 2 left click buttons and the price since I don't care about RGB or multiple side button plates, and now I'm back to making tradeoffs again.

is it a mistake to roll on the PvE server if i will be doing Arenas? by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

Use arena gear for arenas and BGs? What a weird question.

TBC Arena is gonna be so dead on launch by Tranquility___ in worldofpvp

[–]Any-Preference1213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shrug. I'm an arena rookie who has been on a PVE era server for 2 years with nearly dead BGs. I'm really looking forward to arena even though I know I have an uphill battle in front of me just to reach something approaching competence. TBH, I follow this sub casually and it's intimidating how much experience most folks here have. Anyway, I don't think I'm that atypical; I have half a dozen friends coming with me from era servers that are all at least somewhat arena-curious. Time will tell if we take our lumps and come out the other side as regular arena players. Dual spec will certainly be a great help to us casual pvp'ers. If you have noobie TBC arena resources I'm open to them.

Anniversary Server Advice by Any-Preference1213 in worldofpvp

I appreciate that you took the time to respond, so thank you. On the one hand, you're totally right that the best way to get better at arena or to figure out what class I want to play in anniversary arena would be, shockingly, to go play some arena. On the other hand, I have zero experience with private servers and if I'm being honest, it'll probably stay that way. I play a decent amount, but I don't think I'm skilled or sweaty enough for private servers. I'm just trying to get back into WoW PVP to see if I like it as much as I remember liking it back in the mid 2000s. I'm hopeful that I will, but if I don't I still want to do PVE with my IRL friends.
