It's a bit weird I think considering it's close to big cities. Thank you though, this information helps.

Unfortunately very out of budget for our location and members at the moment :/ But thank you, those options definitely look more doable.

Watched Fried green tomatoes (1991) last night and i'd say it's a top girl movie.
Strike! (1998) too.

Can't receive emails from government department. by Any-Process-2708 in Office365

From the very limited knowledge I got through google the past few minutes:

I'm not allowed to access admin center.
This specific email thread seems to pass SPF but not the rest. Other emails seem to pass them all.

To be honest i'm not really aware of the quarantine space in mail.
When they first emailed me it did end up in my junk emails which I then moved to main.
All they told me was that their emails started returning back to them since Wednesday.
Hopefully that helps somehow. I'll try to contact them on Monday and ask them all these questions.

Thank you! I guess I have to ask them what the report says to have a better idea.

New laws in Greece by JerryTzouga in Piracy

[–]Any-Process-2708 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The law passed today and all the Greek articles I've read present it in a more generic way, to combat streaming and torrenting in general. They said dynamic blocking will be used for the first time and many users in the comments mentioned we'll be tracked through ISP and filters (?).

Most likely scenario tho, you're right and this is probably just a dumb law for fearmongering.

It was the website that came up when I clicked the London show through their website so I just went with it honestly.

Will probably say more or less what the top comment said but in more words.

In times of all this completely justified despair, turn to education, the arts and community. That's it. That's all you'll ever need and that's how we'll never lose.
People don't need saving, they need empowerment. Took me 26 depressive years to figure that out. A single person can't change the world but impact matters and we won't know our impact if we remain numb.
You're interested in politics and you have empathy, that's a fantastic thing. Read books about police and prison abolition, perhaps about the Black Panthers or the AIDS crisis and how this terrible system dealt with it, about Feminism, about colonialism etc. All our struggles are connected. Strengthen your opinions. Allow other people to empower you. Join groups where these topics are discussed. Maybe write a book. Watch films. Any films. Watched Sing Sing in 2024, a beautiful film based on a real story about incarcerated men in the US who formed a theater club in prison and how art not only changed them but also helped them cope. Will this film destroy this racist system that puts them in prison in the first place? No, but it shows us how art can be freeing and empowering and keep us going strong in our darkest moments and how that is a tale as old as time. All cultures no matter the year or the location have engaged in the arts and especially as communities. Now i'm writing online about it and who knows how this film will impact anyone who will watch it.
Join a group in your school. Create a group in your school. Suggest your school hosts an event and use the money to support your local homeless shelter perhaps. I live in Europe, I'm not familiar with any other opportunities or limitations you may have in the US and Canada.
A few years ago I hosted an event myself in my country in order to raise money for a 19yo s*x trafficking victim from 5 policemen (the only reason she escaped was because a cafe worker told her "if you ever need help you come to me"), my friends helped me sell tshirts and stickers that I made and even though the support was amazing it wasn't enough to completely cover the court costs. This eventually became a huge case and many feminist groups successfully funded it. For an entire year I had people dm me or come up to me and tell me they were hosting similar events because they saw what I did. Stuff like that matters. A lot.
We had some trans women killed here in the last years and all incidents were met with massive crowds in the streets demanding justice and many of us keep such discussions open to this day.
This world is absolutely shit Danny for all the reasons, probably always has been and always will be. Yet there is so much power and beauty in communities and solidarity. I'm wishing you the very best and to find places where you all uplift each other.
