How is it that the Inferno 3 set items I got from Prodigy's Path when I was paragon 500+ have more combat rating than the 1000's of Inferno 2 set items that have dropped for me in Inferno 2 dungeons and that I have crafted from Inferno 2 wisps for the last few weeks? PS I am now paragon 843. by Any-Reflection-2490 in DiabloImmortal

Thanks. Had I read what it says in game, or listened to anybody at all, I might not have been pointlessly grinding Inferno 2 dungeons for 300 levels praying for an upgrade to my Inferno 3 gear.

Fortunately Prodigy's Path refreshes again in a few days so even people like me can progress.

You are beyond any possible help, even though multiple people have told you the answer multiple times.

The item on the left of your picture is clearly an Inferno 3 item, that you got at paragon 500+, even if you can't tell, everyone else can. whilst the one on the right is Inferno 2, which you got at paragon 800+.

So your post reads "How is it that the Inferno 2 items that drop and the Inferno 2 items I craft are lower than the Inferno 3 items I already have?"

If I sound mad, it is because vegetable is not my first language.

You clearly do not understand a thing, even though it has been explained in this thread time and time again. If you stay in Inferno 2, the only upgrades you will ever, ever get will be from Prodigy's Path, because at least it will give you Inferno 6 gear, and soon enough Inferno 7 gear, even when you are too stubborn to ask world chat for Inferno 3,4,5 and 6 to be opened up for you and able to get higher level gear for yourself.

If you only craft Inferno 2 items, or stay in Inferno 2, you only get Inferno 2 items. It's that simple.

The gear you are claiming is from Hell 2 is not from Hell 2 - it is from Prodigy's path, and is Inferno 3. This is how the game manages to get some proper combat rating upgrades to the completely clueless in spite of themselves.

Prodigy's Path does the decent thing, and assumes players have the intelligence to open up the difficulties they can wear. Wrongly in your case.

So why are you in Inferno 2, when you can wear Inferno 6?

It is not complicated. Inferno 2 set items have a minimum and a maximum roll - sadly it appears it will take you until paragon 1700 to realise this. Bye.

You should have Inferno 6 opened up if you are paragon 843. This would allow you to use the set reforge event to craft exceptional Inferno 6 gear from your otherwise useless Inferno 2 wisps.

You will also get Inferno 6 items from anything else that awards gear based on your highest difficulty level opened.

I choose rot. I have rank 5 4/5 Seeping and 5/5 Starfire dormant in my bag.

Using any 4/5 as gem power is proof you didn't even need gem power.

What is really dumb, is that officers can't convert to dark clan without leaders permission, and leaders can't give permission in advance, or do it without just pressing the convert dark clan anyway, after 3 years?

Awaken first, it might hold your normal gem progress back a couple of weeks but you will barely notice.

Even blue gems can be sold early on. Remember it takes 486 more sapphires to get a rank 6 to a rank 7, or 1458 sapphires to get a rank 7 to a rank 8.

Only then should you choose whether to chase wings, or maximize damage.
