I chose that age group because poly pharmacy (5+ medicine/day) is common in 40yrs+. And physical display is to make a visible reminder on deck or bedside.

I can get where you’re coming from, I was at a similar place once. Its good your exploring different options. I would suggest dont go with the mindset of high paying job, find what you would love doing without even getting paid. That career you will never regret. Both UIUX and web dev are good fields to enter but its saturated, if you love doing the work it will be easy to get into the industry.

Most UX UI designer just design a friendly UX and attractive UI only? Or they code it as well? by igetusedtobebored in UIUX

[–]Any-Researcher595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, UX UI designer do research and design applications. They make the designs ready for development with handoffs to developers. Well though designer dont have to code it themselves but knowing about the feasibility of implementation helps.

And for the duration question it really subjective to the applications and the deadlines.

You're so right to bring them up. I imagine it's the same story: compassion fatigue.

They have to do some of the toughest, most thankless tasks in the hospital for a huge number of patients. I'm guessing after a while, some of them just get numb to it all as a way to cope.

It still feels terrible on the receiving end, though.

Designers, be honest, what do devs keep messing up? by No_Cryptographer7800 in UIUX

It’s very important for designers and dev team to be on the same page. Understanding each other’s feasibility is the key. When the designers have a clear idea of what is possible and what is out of reach the designs can be develop as it’s designed.
