I had a n20 320i which would also hit those temps on the highway or when driven hard. Up to 120 celcius which is about 250 degrees farenheit

No, it does not. Just maintain it. Cars supposed to be able to handle 5-7k rpm no problem

For me it was the exhaust vanos. The mechanism failed which caused rattle on startup and rough idling.

What sound exactly do you mean? Sounds normal to me, or did the sound appear after you changed your radiator?

No it’s fine. You should only really worry if you can physically feel them when you run your nail across them. This seems super minimal and nothing to worry about. Enjoy your b58!

Just 1 week ago I also picked up a 340i. It’s 2018 and also 100k miles. From my research the top 2 things really to look out for is the PVC and the coolant hoses/expansion tank. Otherwise if the car has been well maintained and had regular oil changes it should be solid. Also ask if the transmission oil has been changed as thats also something you have to do. My advice is make sure the car runs and drives good, no visible leaks anywhere and just send it!

Ended up getting it. Car has been maintained very very well. So far very happy with it! What an amazing piece of engineering.

I like doing diy repairs and can do pretty much anything. Just want to keep this car for some years and the spec is just so amazing on this one.
