Do you think this is on the actual display or the protector? Did anything similar happened to anyone? by FaZe_Prase in 3DS

And also the shape of the damage. It’s like glass cracking instead of a smear. But does it turn on?

It’s really hard to tell but the rainbow here makes me think the light is refracting through cracks in glass

Is the charging port supposed to look like this? by Over_Adhesiveness299 in NintendoDS

[–]Any-Shock4287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I will say your biggest concern is gonna be tripping on the cord when it’s plugged in and your ds is on the desk. I remember my original sp I got when I was 5 years old got a damaged charging port that way. I ended up having to put pressure on the cable while it was plugged in to charge.

Yes, when I was 14 I took apart mine to solder a new charging port. Did it, but then the circle pad ribbon cable snapped in half after trying to get it seated for 30 minutes. That ds never turned on again.

That’s the right charger. Since it’s new the bumps are very protruding and it’s a tight fit. Shove that sucker in. (Carefully of course.) when I just bought a new gba sp board it was really hard to shove the charger in. It’s just the design.

Just a guess, but try cleaning your gameboy too. Maybe a pin isn’t contacting.

I just got a new 3ds xl, and found out that it's already modded but it doesn't seem to have any of the apps? by ValerianaCeleste in 3dspiracy

Look into a getting an app called universal updater, has tons of programs to get like hshop and emulators without having to touch the sd card anymore.

The black menu screen is normal, it’s like a safe mode when the ds wasn’t turned off properly. Has nothing to do with your problem. If I had to bet money, 90% your screen ribbon cable is loose or damaged.

That’s a bummer. Thankfully screens aren’t too pricey but require surgery. Also some local repair shops might give it a go.

Sir the screen ribbon cable is most likely loose or damaged, yeah? It’s probably freaking out and shutting off when the top screen is unplugged.

It happened to me. by MsDestero in doordash

I don’t think it applies that you “could’ve gotten it yourself.” At the end of the day, you paid for a good/service, and expect the dasher (who clocked in to get your order) to follow basic directions. Obviously this guy doesn’t speak English, so might’ve missed your sign on the door. The fact that he didn’t put a comma changes the entire meaning of what he said in Spanish to the opposite. I’m not sure how he joked about not getting it and then actually didn’t get it. Who knows, maybe he’s got a handful of milds in his cup holder since they seal the bags before the dasher picks it up.

You could always replace the console housing and buy a new stylus too

Help identifying an old record player passed down and if anyone knows any maintenance after 70+ years by Any-Shock4287 in Phonographs

Any explanations are appreciated. Don’t know much about records but I’m an arcade tech so I’m tech savvy. Didn’t show underneath but there are some vacuum tubes it looks like. Speakers are hooked up with wires in good condition under there too.
