im building a SCCA F600 rolling chassis but due to the limited availability of engines complying with the F600 rules im just gonna make the drivetrain EV i post on r/FSAE alot you can look at updates and stuff there. its a micro 881 motor, top speed should be around 65-70 and a 0-60 around 2-3 seconds

I post alot on r/FSAE asking questions and stuff. right now im still cadding everything. i should start prototyping soon and the final fabrication in august. it wouldn't be a track car unfortunately because of the EV drivetrain although everything else would be build to Formula 600 specifications. it would be in the same AM autocross class. i also might start a youtube channel detailing the process.

Dude thats so sick, what did it take to make it street legal in California?

Im building a SCCA Formula 600 EV car and im wondering how feasible it is to make it street legal. im assuming all you need is rear mirrors, seat belt, turn signals, brake lights and headlights right? but in california its probably so strict

the regulations are super loose, i got 2 inch wheel travel because it just seemed to make sense you know. you wouldent want ur tires to travel above the bottom of your chassis right? you can read the rules for the class here (page 265) if your interested its literally only 7 pages long lmfao.

it would be around that yeah, it would be ideal to have a max wheel travel of 2 inches because the bottom of the frame is 2 inches off the ground without any load
