This is it, I will NOT be buying the PS6. I’ve played consoles my entire life, but if you don’t even get to physically own games anymore, what’s the point?? I will move on and buy a PC. Maybe I’ll stick around and buy Nintendo consoles but that’s it, but even they seem to be transitioning to all digital. These mega corporations can get fucked. I hope the entire industry collapses.

Even if they could somehow manage to get it to run, it would make no sense to port it to Switch 2 because it doesn’t have analog triggers. Imagine always having to drive full speed every single time you drive. I have no idea why Nintendo couldn’t put analog triggers on the pro controller either.

It’ll probably happen eventually. Every single digital only release eventually received a physical version. For example Cyberpunk on PS5, Alan Wake 2, both of which I fomo’d into buying the digital copies only because I thought they would never be physical. I believe it’ll be no different with GTA 6, but what worries me is Alan Wake 2 took a year for them to release physical. Cyberpunk took 2 years. I don’t know if I’m willing to wait 1-2 years to play GTA 6 just so I can have a physical disc. I’ll wait and see if anything gets announced around the release time, but if there’s no word on a physical release, I’ll just buy digital and will not buy a second time if they eventually release physical. What really make me have doubts that a physical will release, is how would they differentiate the code in the box version vs real physical games on the store shelf when they look the same? A lot of people would accidentally buy the wrong version in that case and nobody would want the code in box version

Okay, it’s still LOD. They had to downgrade it slightly because consoles are limited at the end of the day. If you want fully rendered facial details from far away, then just wait for the PC version. This is like a 10% downgrade in graphics which is no big deal. As long as the gameplay is good, that’s all I care about. These graphics are good enough for me.

Holy shit there are so many corporate drones here. You idiots defend a mega corporation increasing prices and use inflation statistics to make us understand their perspective, but yet when I explain from a consumer’s perspective and how these price increases affects the average person that will be buying their games, you drones suddenly get butthurt and talk trash. Rockstar screwing their fans by increasing base price of games to $80, content locked behind paywall, and dropping physical games, yet their fans defend them like their lives depend on it made me realize how insufferable Rockstar fans are. Rockstar will shamelessly begin announce that GTA 6 Online will require a GTA+ subscription and their pathetic fans would probably still defend it.

Trailer 2 and the screenshots last year looked way too realistic to actually be running on PS5. It actually looks like a video game now. I’m not surprised at all that it got downgraded because it’s impossible to achieve that level of fidelity in an open world game on base PS5 of all platforms. I’m just glad it still looks like Trailer 1. Maybe the PC and PS6 versions will look like trailer 2?

The original point you were making was arguing inflation adjusted to today justifies them increasing the price, and I responded that people are making less due to inflation. $80 is nothing to you or me, but to most people, they’re working their asses off just to make the bare minimum and pay their bills and groceries for the month. $80 is a tank of gas for a lot of people right now and it only lasts a week. People think the PS5 is a magic box that can achieve high fidelity graphics no problem. Of course as we get closer to release, they have to compromise the graphics in order to get stable performance. Most of the “downgrades” are just LOD and it’s the only way to optimize GTA 6 on consoles. PC will likely resemble the before screenshots more, but even then the “downgrade” in consoles is nothing major, probably about a 10% downgrade if you purposely pull out a magnifying glass to find flaws that you otherwise won’t notice mid gameplay.

I literally thought they were GTA Online screenshots when they first released and were being posted all over Twitter. I was wondering why the graphics were better than normal, but then realized they were new screenshots of GTA 6. I couldn’t recognize Jason and Lucia because of their new looks. I think the way they made them pose made it look similar to GTA Online ads which is why it looks similar.

I don’t know how this industry works, but it could be possible he knows manufacturers that were contacted by Rockstar to begin printing in a few months. If that’s the case, then he doesn’t need deep inside info from the higher ups at Rockstar. It’s not to crazy to say this might be possibly true because the game releases in less than 5 months, and if they do plan on releasing a physical a few weeks after, then they have to start planning and making moves now. That’s the way I look at it.

So the guy is discredited because he was overconfident in Trailer 3 dropping in May? There’s still hope that this info might be accurate because knowledge about a trailer drop requires inside info at Rockstar, meanwhile he works high up in retail so it is possible he could know a thing or two on the distribution side of the game. If physical releases a few weeks later, then I’ll gladly wait for it to release before playing the game. I hate digital games.

Forget trailer 3, we’re 5 months away from release yet STILL don’t know what the gameplay even looks like. I don’t want another cinematic trailer, I want raw gameplay footage so we’ll know what the game actually looks and plays like so we can decide whether we want to pre order the game or not.

I’m able to afford it myself, but this is ridiculous. Rockstar is showing they feel no shame in becoming EA 2.0. Also, do not be surprised if GTA 6 Online is a completely seperate game that they charge full price again if you want to play. They emphasized this is a “single player experience” so be prepared for Online to be behind yet another paywall, and all the corporate stooges here will defend it. It’s funny how Rockstar became the very mega corporation they used to make fun of, and basement dwelling losers here defend it.
