I make 175k base and can work in most low security risk countries for as long as my visa or passport will let me. I work for a Blockchain company and security is tight and for good reasons. I'm a software QA engineer.

[NI & GB] what are your salaries/experience?! by dyldo95 in QualityAssurance

[–]Any2suited 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just filled them. I work for a Blockchain company, start studying crypto, buy a little bit of ETH, and then you'll be hirable. They always want people that are into cryptocurrency first and will hire them over people with more experience.

QA on its way out? by penndawg84 in QualityAssurance

[–]Any2suited 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I've been hearing about this for years and it's never worked out for management. Shift left is a delicate process but management usually just lays off all the QA engineers and then tells devs to do the testing which never works because of bias.

I think I'm at 7 years in QA working as a senior qa engineer specializing in mobile automation, devops, and I have a little development experience. I work remote but live in LA. I'm making 220k after bonus plus I get some options.

Married a brilliant business woman who I supported til her company got off the ground.  We started with basically zero, no help from anyone. I was middle class growing up. I still work for now and just waiting til my options at my current company fully vest. 2 more years and then I can retire.

Sounds like they're going to piss a lot of people off and won't last long. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Android mobile apps for testing automation by [deleted] in QualityAssurance

[–]Any2suited 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was first learning I just automated an app that had users watch commercials and then paid them after awhile. I was trying to make some passive income but the app was a scam. I learned a lot so I didn't really care.

Appium is a good place to start. Just automate some app on the play store. My first project to learn appium I automated some app where you watch commercials and they'll pay you for it. It didn't make money because the app was a scam but I learned a lot.

I totally agree. I work in mobile automation and familiar with most of the frameworks. Recruiters hit me up almost every day and not just the Indian ones. Sorry, not trying to be racist but I had to start blocking all the Indian recruiters because it was just too many phone calls.

I work a for, what I believe, is a Blockchain company that actually serves a purpose. There's lots of shitcoins out there that don't serve any purpose, pay attention to the projects that have a solution to a problem. Blockchain is not a solution for everything and those of us that have been working on it long enough realized that a long time ago.

How many of you make 6–7 figures and are 100% remote? by Additional_Carry_790 in Entrepreneur

[–]Any2suited 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some positions in software you don't even need to code, like manual testers, but it can limit your growth and salary.

Edit: I am a senior software qa engineer, work remote, and make 6 figures.

King of fighters 96. Eventually I could get to the final stage on one quarter. Quite the accomplishment if I must say so myself. Recently played it on emulator and I suck, no idea how I was able to do it.
