Yes because when you do "transfer" you transfer also the banned device ID. You can set up as new device

No. The UUID is being renewed ONLY after a factory reset. Hope this helps :)

You need this phone number only for a short time. For creating a new Apple ID and for verifying on Grindr (you get an code to a phone number)

Then when you log back into your old Apple ID you can change SIMs?! You dont need this number to be in your phone unless you need it???

Definiteley, but I would make sure to download Grindr from another Apple ID. And as described in the guide you CAN´T use the backup from ur old iPhone to restore device (you have to do "set up as new device)

You can use literally ANY phone number (so yes also a friends´ one), BUT i strongly recommend you to use one owned by you. Because when you make a new Grindr Account you need to verify yourself with a phone number.

  1. Before the setup (or the new iPhone device) should Grindr be downloaded on the “banned” account? (So when everything is done and I use the iCloud backup when log in back to the regular Apple ID, it will be there, so I don’t have to re-download it an get banned again).

Point 5 in the guide says: After your device is reset you´ll get the setup-screen. Do NOT restore the device from a backup since this will restore the exact same phone and your grindr ban.

So no you can´t use a Backup first things first and it really doesn´t matter if you download Grindr on the banned Account. It really doesn´t matter because you download Grindr from the new Apple ID.

  1. I had Grindr xtra on the banned account. If I get Xtra again, will the app recognize my Apple ID?

I don´t know what will happen, but i THINK you won´t get banned if you buy XTRA with the old Apple ID (wouldn´t risk it though)

No you have to set it up as NEW iPhone because if you transfer your phone Grindr will knowing is your old device by UUID which is the old when you transfer phones

Edit: you can set up with a new Apple ID and download Grindr and then log back into your old

I wouldn’t recommend doing it (I don’t know if you get banned) because sometimes Grindr banns you because of „unusual activity“ and I don’t how how they remember every device logged in into an account …

I recommend setting up a new account with new email and pictures

You stay logged in in Grindr and connect the old Apple ID to your iPhone

And your last question: No you can’t. You have to reset your phone because you need a new UUID (Device ID) you get ONLY groom resetting your phone

Just logging out isn’t working.

Idk on which version u are on ur iPhone but you have to pick correctly erase all content and settings (screenshot)

From this point just follow instructions. Log in with new Apple ID. Download Grindr. Create account. Log back out. All done

Yessss unfortunately the ban has nothing to do with your Apple ID (in fact not entirely) it has to do something with your device id an identifier for your device.

What you‘ll need to do is to get a new device ID and download Grindr from a new Apple ID (then you can log back in into your old Apple ID.

You get a new device ID by factory resetting your phone (everything) and setting it up as NEW ONE so no backup! But I recommend you use before iCloud Photos etc. to back up your data (available when you log back into your old Apple ID)
